    Round 9: 10-9 Salido
    Round 10: 10-9 Lomachenko
    Round 11: 10-9 Lomachenko
    Round 12: 10-9 Lomachenko

    114-114 DRAW

Lomachenko’s inexperience at the top level cost him the fight, because he seemed unsure of how much gas to burn early. In the first half of the fight, those rounds were there for him to take, but he just didn’t throw enough punches (including the first round, which honestly could have gone to Salido, since very few punches landed). He was the better fighter, even with the weight difference, but he waited too long to unleash his offensive arsenal on Salido. It was a close fight, but one which Lomachenko should have done more.

I don't score fights because I don't work for free and concentrating that hard would make it difficult for me to enjoy the bout.

Nevertheless at the time I felt that Salido won through his experience. He made Lomo look like the amateur that he was at the time. I especially did not like Lomo' s attitude about the numerous low blows. The biased announcers were saying what a good guy he was and what a good sport he was not to retaliate. I definitely lost respect for Lomo...after the second low blow he should have nutted Salido real bad. Ok now Lomo is considered a messiah of boxing but at the time I thought he was just another Euro-hype job.

I had it 7/5 Salido while finding it very difficult to watch.

Rd 1 was a feeler, little notable, most of the the work was pulled. Too much fegning.
    Close Loma. 10/9
2 similar but Salido busier, getting dirty.
    Close Salido. 19/19

    3-8
Loma doing nothing inside. Salido plodding forward Loma tying up and eating low blows.
    No penalties, all Salido. 79/73

9.. Salido busier , but Loma finally taking control of distance. Close, but a PITY Rd to Loma. 88/83
10-12 Loma controlling the championship rds, gulf in class finally obvious. Loma rds.

    115/113
    Salido by way of foulfest.

It was scored a split decision by biased judges with the help of the corrupt referee Lawrence Cole! Lomachenko was cheated, if Cole had done his job, Salido would have had points taken away..................Eastern European fighters fight by the rules, but are badly cheated in America..................Rules are clear: no punching after the bell, no punching behind the head, no low blows, when a fighter is knocked down, it is a 10 - 8 round, no holding, wrestling, headbutting, elbows, no punches to the legs, etc., that's a fact.............

Good write up but I can't remember the fight in enough detail except to remember that it was a very close fight. If the low blows were counted as point deductions Loma definitely won but they depend on the referee.

The one thing that irritates me the most about this particular fight though is the fact everyone fails to mention Salido failed to make weight. That in itself is losing the fight, however Loma wanted the fight to go ahead and I think Salido realised this in his preparations.

Punch Cole in the balls and then ask him if it was low enough to be a point deduction.

No point in threads like this, Salido fans are going to say he won and Loma fan's are going to say he won lol, just like May vs Castillo a never ending story... Fact is Salido has the official win like it or not....

    Farmy...
I agree with your assertion that EU and Asian fighters are not given a balanced shake by American fans/media/officials generally speaking, but you're not objective enough to be making the statement since you're even worse than they are.

Fact is that we are in America, and there's always gonna be a bias towards the American fighters over here.

Few fighters make the overseas crossover to superstardom.

Loma froze when the fouling started, had no idea what to do about it, and subsequently, BEGAN FOULING HIMSELF BWO GRAPPLING.
should he have been penalized for excessive holding???

Loma didn't let his hands go enough at the beginning; but he made Salido miss a ton while controlling the ring, yet received no credit from the judges.

Instead, they rewarded Salido for hitting air, gloves, elbows and crotch.
Look at both their faces at the end and you will know who won it.

    Another Bob racket job.

He was paid, fought without head gear, and fought under the 10 point must system. That is a pro fight.
