Who is the best fighter you would favor Oscar de la hoya over at 147

For some reason I see him winning an ugly points win over Napoles thru pure strength and attrition.

 

I would struggle to see Oscar beating Benitez. He won a very close and debatable decision over a slipping Pernell Whitaker. I think Benitez`s more aggressive style than Whitaker would give Oscar too many problems.

 

Miguel Cotto. I think DelaHoya could possibly handle him. As long as he doesn't tire.

 

I agree with that. I also think he could handle Carlos Palomino, a underrated fighter.

 

Prime DLH beats prime Mayweather.

 

Thats possible. Palomino was tough on the inside but if Oscar can use his legs he may be able to avoid that. DelaHoya may get a decisin over 12 but not 15

Bad feeling ODH should call up Curtis Cokes and ask what going 23 rounds with prime Napoles was like, and
which Dallas plastic surgeons Curtis used post-fight, when he got back to Big D.

When Oscar reached Welterweight that was where he sort of hit a wall as far as not being the bigger man. At `30 and `35 even `40 DelaHoya had a huge advantage. At `47 he had to use some finesse and box.

 

Oscar wouldn't have been very pretty,..lacey pantyhose or not...after Napoles was done with him.

 

There is no.way.in.hell. that Oscar would have beaten Jose Mantequilla Napoles.

 

Or Wilfred El Radar Benitez either, for that matter.
