What is your favourite fighter from the 80s purely in terms of entertainment value through the decade?

I'm gonna say what everyone is already thinking..Tony "The Tiger" Lopez. Fight of thr Year in boxing 1988 when he lifted the 130lb title from Rocky Lockridge. Lopez climbs off the canvas and goes toe to toe with Lockridgr. The man lived up to his nickname. Lopez was our sports franchise here in Sacramento. The people loved him and he packs that little barn they called Arco Arena. Lopez went on to have a great 3 fight series with John John Molina.

What other great action fighters populated the 80s? For me Dwight Muhammad Qawi would be in this list.

Mathew Saad Muhamad in the early 80's could be counted on for high drama each title defense. That light heavyweight era was golden.

    Matthew Saad
    Aaron Pryor
    Bobby Chacon
    Boza
    Ray Mancini
    Thomas Hearns

There's many more but those are the ones off the top of my head
