His resume is weak for a guy who people have in their top 5 p4p

140 is the weakest division in boxing and has been for many years
Indogno - bum, Postol - never that good.. got overrated after one win. Both of them had hardly won any world title fights yet they were pushed straight into unification fights. Gamboa was much smaller and Crawford struggled badly with him! The Ricky Burns since the jaw break against Beltran was a shot much lesser version. The other guys Crawford beat I can't even remember their names thats how poor they are. Time will tell but Crawford may not be the guy some think he is because lets be real he hasn't really beat anyone of any real note for his P4P rating to be so high .No one will ever be able to unify a division against such weak opposition again.

His resume is about the same as Ryan Burnett, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Luis Ortiz, Kell Brook, Lee Selby

I would say Billy Joe Saunders has a better resume for example..

Well for sure he’s had everything go his way as politics ect make unifying so difficult,he beat what was in front of him.
Postal is probably his best win and he basically did an Andre Ward on him,I’ve no doubts he’s gonna do some great things though and I still have him top three PFP.

Haha they like to talk and pretend as if Postol was a Lomachenko/Usyk type talent. When the reality is he was Senchenko/Kotelnik level.

I think you’ve got a bit of revionist history going on there. When he fought Postol it was seen as a great matchup. Only after Bud took him to school did people say Postol is overrated, which is a pretty good way to minimise Crawford’s skill and win. Also I think it’s a massive stretch to say he struggled with Gamboa. Sure he got rocked once but he beat the **** out of Gamboa.
Those things aside, yeah his resume isn’t stellar. But I mean some of the guys he beat are far from cans, and he didn’t just beat them all, he made them all look hopelessly outclassed. That has to count for something.

Saunders without singing it from the rooftops and having the same hype train as Crawford has built himself a very solid resume,so funny how Charlo getting heaps of praise and as yet has done nothing at Middleweight whereas Saunders has done loads already in terms of facing quality, who else at 160 other than Golovkin has resume like BJS?

That does count for something, anyone doubts should ask James Degale what can happen at this level against anyone lest you’re at you’re best.
I’m a big fan of Crawford and Lomochenko both are showcasing their skills and both have to move up in weight just get challenged.

I know. I have been accused of “Saying Postol was gonna whoop BUD doe!” when I never, ever talked up the guy on here and I never made a comment about Postol in that fight.

Postol was a boring fighter who no one knew fighting in small sports gyms in Kiev. He had a close fight with Hank Lundy. Then he had one decent win against Matthysse and was very quickly thrown into a unification fight. If he had any type of hype it was for a very short period and the hype was quickly squashed.

Lets judge him since the Crawford fight. he has done nothing since, he struggled and got dropped by some unknown Uzbek in a tune up fight. He'll probably lose to Prograis next and then we'll probably never hear of him again. I can't see Crawfords stock ever going up for beating Postol lol.

Who did Lomachenko beat?, Rigondeux who was inactive and moving up?, Miguel Marriaga moving up and coming of a loss?, Gary Russell who hasn't beaten anyone of note?.
Who did Golovkin beat?, Brook moving two weightclasses?, Barely beat Jacobs who was stopped by Pirog, Gabriel Rosado?, David Lemeiux who lost to Marco Rubio?
Who did Usyk beat?, Michael Hunter who doesn't have a good win?, Briedis who gave him hell and was the underdog?
Who did Spence beat?, Kell Brook coming from a loss and moving down in weight?, Lamont Peterson who was stopped in three rounds by Lucas Matthyse?
Who did Joshua beat?, The ghost of Wlad coming of inactivity and a loss?
By your standards everyone in boxing is a bum, Crawford cleared the division, maybe Postol wasn't that good but people were talking about how Crawford was going to duck him, the same for Indongo.

There’s Resume and there’s the Eye Test. Often a fighter’s resume doesn’t tell you as much as the Eye Test does.

Spence is a good example of this.
Crawford is another. They are both better fighters than their resumes would indicate.

All the chatter before the Brook fight was “Spence’s resume is not that good. Spence is not that good.” People saying this were not looking at Spence and how he fights. They were not using the Eye Test.

It’s the same now with Crawford. His resume doesn’t tell you everything. You’ve got to look at how he fights.
