    How did you score Usyk-Briedis?

Please take a position as if you were an actual judge who had to hand in a scorecard. None of this “I thought Usyk won, but I could also see Breidis winning or a draw” nonsense.

I didn't score it first time around because I picked it up half way through the 2nd round.

But from what I saw from the rest I thought Usyk won clearly enough those first two rounds would not have affected the final result. I very feel he was the better fighter overall.
But my jimmies did Breidis come to win.

To tell you the truth given his resume and the manner of victory he could have arguably been the no1 seed in the tourney.
Like Gassiev only beat 1 decent fighter heading into this and Usyk didn't have a robust resume outside of Glowacki.

Briedis doesn't get credit for all the shots he landed on Usyk's gloves, which eliminates the majority of Briedis' shots, 118-110 Usyk, 117-111 is fine as well.

I like both fighters a lot, scored it 8-4 Usyk. Some of the rounds were pretty close, I can see 7-5. But the draw is a little bit of a stretch.

I can't believe that more people did not see this. Most of Breidis' punchers were cleanly picked off. I wasn't really all of that close.

Think Usyk won it 115-113, for me, he pulled away in the backend of the fight with workrate, and thought he landed more punches with it. if briedis kept up his work from 1-4 into the latter stages of the fight, i think he could've won it

    115-113 Usyk.
Right man won, but I would like to see a rematch at heavyweight some time in the future.

This is how I saw it:

Round 1: Briedis lands more useful shots than usyk. Usyk tries to get something going with the jab, hardly any land and it isn't working in the first round for him.
    10-9 for Briedis

Round 2: Both guys turn up the pace in this round. Pretty even early on in the second, both men having success. Usyk manages to land much more effectively in the middle of the round, briedis pretty absent. Briedis comes back into it late. I give this round a slight edge to Usyk.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 3: Usyk is clearly the better fighter in this round. He controls briedis for the majority of the round with the jab and briedis only manages to get going offensively in small spells in the round.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 4: Briedis comes back into the fight in this round. He is able to adjust to Usyk's jab, and manages to neutralize it and get closer to usyk. This allows him to land more frequently early on. Briedis lands some good body combinations. Usyk only manages to keep briedis at bay towards the end of the round. Usyk is forced onto the back foot in parts, and the pressure and good shots from briedis wins him this round clearly.
    10-9 for Briedis

Round 5: Briedis gets some decent shots together in the early parts of the round, but fades as the round progresses. Briedis slows down, puts up a high guard. Usyk has the best success so far in this round for him. He keeps the pace and movement up unlike briedis. Some great combinations in the middle and late section of the round gives this a clear round to usyk. Looks like briedis may be taking a breather here to conserve energy for the second half of the fight.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 6: This round is even in the first third of the fight, neither gaining control of the round yet. As the round enters the second half though, briedis is able to throw the better shots. Usyk is down but it seems as if briedis throws him down to the canvas, not scored as a knockdown. It stays very even in the middle section of the fight, pretty close. But briedis lands more useful shots so I give this a close win for Briedis.
    10-9 for Briedis

Round 7: Another close round. Briedis gains control of the majority of the round by utilizing the jab, and tries to get some one-twos together but usyk's defense doesn't allow him to. Usyk lands a great shot to the head in the second half of the round. Usyk gives the judges something to think about late on in the round, as both men have success. I think briedis had control of the round mostly, but didn't really get going. Usyk similarly, struggled. You could score it either way. Usyk landed some great shots though, and his small assault in the second half wins him a close round. The attack of briedis and defense of usyk cancel each other out for the most part.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 8: Usyk pulls away clearly in round 8. Briedis doesn't throw anything of note, and struggles to get shots together. It seems as if he is tiring just a tad. Usyk takes advantage, lands a lot of good punches, the jab lands much more frequently and he takes control of the round.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 9: Both men land some good shots, with usyk putting the pressure on and briedis backing up. Usyk lands the more telling shots in the round, and seems to have the better energy levels of the two men. It seems like usyk is starting to take control and figure briedis out. Briedis is still in the round, but usyk outworks him and throws the better shots. You can tell that briedis doesn't quite have the workrate he had in the first half of the fight, and usyk's gas tank is paying dividends as we enter the last few rounds. Close round but usyk definitely wins this round.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 10: For the first time in the fight, we see Usyk starting tire a little. He doesn't quite have the same movement in round 10. This is a very close round, with both men tired. Both land some decent shots, but Usyk once again lands the better, more powerful combinations. Usyk lands some great shots late on. Although briedis is in the round and is keeping it close, his jab and the body shots aren't working as much as in the first half. I give this a slight edge to Usyk, but it could be given either way, or even a draw. Usyk has turned the tide in his favour with his better workrate in the second half of the fight.
    10-9 for Usyk

Round 11: Briedis comes back into the fight in round 11. He manages to get those body shots to land again, like in the first half of the fight. It's a good, back and forth round. Usyk edges it early on, but the shots from Briedis in the middle and late parts of the round are enough for him to take it.
    10-9 for Briedis

Round 12: Again, another back and forth round. Early on in the round it is even, both men landing decent shots. Usyk piles the pressure on Briedis in the middle of the round, he can tell that Briedis is tiring. Briedis is still in it, but he is being slightly outworked. Late on, Briedis comes back into it and it is close with both men equal in the second half of the round. I give this round a slight edge to Usyk.
    10-9 for Usyk.

So overall, I feel as if Briedis was strong in the first half of the fight and was keeping up with the pace and workrate of usyk. But as the fight wore on, Usyk started to take control. Rounds 8 and 9 were huge. Usyk took control in those rounds and won them clearly. His superior workrate to Briedis won him this fight. A close fight and definitely a competitive one.

There were I'd say 2 rounds in the fight where it was hard to separate them. So you could have given those to Briedis. I thought usyk edged them on landing the more powerful, flashy shots. Most I can give it was a draw.

I have it 116-112 to usyk. 8 rounds to 4. But 115-113 to usyk or 114-114 is possible definitely. I don't think Briedis won though. He didn't do enough and didn't keep up with Usyk's workrate in the second half of the fight.

Had it 8-4 Usyk after watching it again. Not as many of Briedis' shots penetrated the guard as I thought they did the first time I watched.
