Joe Joyce fights 4-1, Rudolf Jozic at York Hall, February 16.

I thought they were planning to fasttrack him, but this is quite a step back from his debut vs Lewison 3 months ago.
It will be broadcasted at UKTV channel Dave

Bought tickets for this last night. Wasn't expecting much of an opponent but this is very dissapointing.

    Oh dear

Proper step backwards this, talking up price and chisora

Plenty of durable Europeans he could’ve fought instead

Classic case of bad management, I feel bad for fighters when this happens as it’s difficult to get up for opponents like this

He’s said he’s targeting a big name in his third fight.

Strange after Lewison but maybe be fighting soon after still imagine he should be fighting least British level Cornish etc then see if Allan wins commonwealth chase that as a first title

Haye probably wants to get Joyce a easy knockout because alot of people criticized a really good first fight

Lewison sounds an impressive first opponent on paper, but the state he turned up in was absolutely embarrassing. Obviously not Joyce’s fault though.

But it took him 8 rounds to get him out of there, when it was clear Ian wasn't in condition, new opponent shocking for a team who's promised so much, no shock to me though

WOW. it took his management 3 months to come up with this fight?! they all need to be sacked, he's wasted enough time already. taking a year out after the olympics is one thing but waiting around for another 3 months to fight a pie is embarrasing. this guys career is going nowhere fast.

Very true mate. Him turning up like that should have presented Joyce with an ideal opportunity to make a statement. It was a cautious performance but it was job done I guess.

Good to see you back by the way.

MY personal view is that this demonstrates just how difficult it is to get decent opponents in the ring, they're going to have to fork out more money if they want decent opponents and probably make a loss on their cards...didn't Sexton turn down a career high payday to face Joyce?

High risk, little reward fight for anyone decent...

As for the Lewison fight...he did a better job than Whyte...

Why not get that guy who Fought price he would have been a better fight and his a tough journeyman he wouldn't have cost that much

It is tough to get guys over especially without the backing of subscription TV but Joyce should facing someone near the top 15 in this fight.

Any idea who sexton has to defend his British title against?

Good fight for Joyce or h Fury even
