If I'm honest I'd not seen much of Joe Joyce but heard loads of hype, especially with how haye was singing about him. I looked forward to his fight on TV, but was really disappointed in watching him, seemed slow, flat footed and 1 dimensional. Might be wrong but can't see him being a big hit. British level maybe? His age means he needs to make some big step ups quickly

Joyce v Ortiz could be a cracking fight later this year, if Wilder prevails as expected.

He has a similar style to Foreman, he's cumbersome and a bit awkward looking, throws his hooks in a similar style to Foreman, has similar balance issues and has a heavy jab like Foreman. But unlike big George he doesn't have the same level of destructive power Foreman had. I can't imagine Lewinson going more than 1-2 rounds with Foreman, even the old version stps him sooner than Joyce.

So basically he has all of Foreman's weakness and none of his strengths lol.

I do think Joyce is one of those fighters that looks horrible but might actually be better than he looks. I gave him no chance at Rio but then he won a silver medal and in all honesty should have gotten gold.

The fact Joyce was already looking to fight Chisora who is arguably still top 20, says a lot about his and his teams self belief in him. I think it's a mistake to totally right him off. I don't think he can beat the current top guys but wouldn't shock me if he can compete at that level.

Yes I don’t expect anything other than a regulation Wilder KO victory.

Ortiz is old and he is Cuban. He will not stand up to Wilder when he gets caught.

There’s not much shame in that. I think Usyk beats most heavyweights.

Joyce isn’t going to go on to do great things, at his age I think he will do well to work his way in to a mandatory position for a world title.
