Would 2013 Rigo have a better chance against Loma?

No. Rigo was still using his patented JFK "back, and to the left" defense, and Loma has the exact blend of attributes to dissect it every time.

It wasn't just a talent thing, but a styles advantage as well. A low volume counterpuncher will never beat Loma. He's too defensively sound, throws too much, and attacks from too many different angles.

Better but he'd still lose, imo. He's smaller and, after actually seeing them in the ring together, slower and stylistically tailor made. I don't know if his speed was due to his age, but I do think his age played a hand in him quitting. But the biggest thing is their styles, Loma has his own unique style, it's difficult to game plan and adapt to him. Plus he's in his prime, Rigo is not. But... you said 2013. I think 2017 Loma still beats 2013 Rigo.

    Better? Maybe. Different result? No.

Nope, that was a stylistic nightmare of a matchup.
I thought Loma would outsize him going in,
it turned out that he outsped, out-footworked,
    and out-maneuvered him into oblivion.

That fight was not dictated by size.
