Good post. As for Holyfield, he could be boring outside the ring, but women didn't think so I remember how many people were shocked when it was discovered that Holy had like 11 children from different women despite being a 'good family man'. That was before Holyfield-Lennox first fight as far as I remember.

Oh yea he was in Philadelphia and Vegas working with Jimmy for the Norton fight. My friend was a golden gloves boxer at the time a lightheavy. Jimmy took him under his wing. He said after leaving Fraziers they would get some Miller high life's and Jimmy would smoke a couple of Menthal Kools. As we all know he told me Jimmy lost all passion after the Norton fight and started doing things a fighter shouldn't b doing. He eventually lost his home ect ect. He loved Jimmy and always brings him up every tme we run into each other. BTW my friend was the craftiest guy I ever sparred with. He still actually blushed when I tell him that.
Anthony joshua seems like he'd be a real douche to be around Andre ward would be another, same with jack johnson and David haye. David hate literally makes people do 20 push ups just to take his autograph or if they have a woman along with them his requiremet is she has to kiss him. Seemed real douchy to me anyway
Why would Anthony Joshua and Andre Ward be "real douches"? They both seem like humble family guys to me.
How so? Don't know much about his personal life, but from what I've seen, he never seemed to have much personality, charisma, or wit. By the way, I have no doubt that many of the men who post in this forum would find Joe Louis eating a bowl of cereal, reading a newspaper, or using the bathroom absolutely enthralling, but I don't think that should count.
Yeah seen that years ago, the James Corden show where he revealed it. I actually think it was bravado. I think he would take the ****, but not maliciously. He showed what a decent fella he was when Blackwell had his injury.
Joshua I have no doubt is a closet ****. When you think your superior it comes with the territory I think.
His tone was a bit deadpan, but we have had entire threads devoted to his flashes wit. He was a bit like Joshua in many ways. Fan friendly, and outwardly very humble, but also supremely confident.
Love Buddy Mac. I was flabbergasted when he beat Simon Brown; I thought he'd be too small. One of the most pleasantly surprising boxing match results I can think of.
