You,ve just got to shake your head at prices decision making. The truth is...even from before the Thompson fight. He severely lacked confidence suffered from anxiety. Even when he was knocking guys out. He did have tools to work with. But a combination of bad matchmaking and not sorting that confidence/anxiety problem out put paid to any sort of success.

The best I,ve seen him properly fight was against hammer. Caldwell done a good job with him. Even tho pretty much no one will agree with that mainly because they don't like Caldwell.

They just needed a few more reasonable fights before the hammer one. He,d have beat him. But this going from knocking out no hopers to fighting decent operators...isn,t gonna work for a guy that badly needs confidence/learn to settle in a ring. Can see this ending badly for him

Price will gas during the long ring walk. Referee waves it off before the first bell. If he makes it to the ring...

    Can't wait for this.

Price is a weirdly unifying figure in boxing; it's easy to root for an underdog, but there's something very human about him that people find appealling.

Even the comments on this thread pick up on that. One final shot at the top from the big man. It's a crazy fight, but this is what makes this sport so great.

Come on Pricey! Do it for all of us!

Price will win the first two rounds before getting starched. Pro-Price and anti-Povetkin crowds will let us know about it for a few years and go nuts celebrating a KO<6 loss.

Yeah, I doubt anyone is actually rooting for Sasha. If you aren't rooting for Price, you aren't a boxing fan. It's just, realistically, he's got virtually no chance. But if he somehow won? It would be one of the greatest hw boxing upsets and stories of all time.

    Price is shot mentally.

If this had been a fight made pre TT one then yes he would have been a live dog.

As it goes here, naw man.

He couldn’t even put Christian Hammer away.

This goes as long as Povetkin wants it to go. If he comes after Price right from the first bell it lasts about 2 minutes.

I want to see Povetkin Iron out Price

I will be re winding and salivating over the KO highlight reel like I was when the Turkish kebab shop owner did him.

I'm not: it's an absolutely terrible mismatch, and Price has done nothing to warrant this fight anyway.

Povetkin KO2, and I'm being generous here.

Povetkin won the gold medal in the superheavyweight division, he is used to fighters of all sizes................I think Povetkin will knock Price out, but Price has a small puncher's chance, Povetkin has a good chin and is a much better boxer, plus, he can punch hard...............

Realistically I can't see Price winning. Povetkin has probably the best resume at HW right now, he's a veteran having seen it all. He can slip punches well and has a great chin himself. Worse, he's a pinpoint combination puncher that hits hard. He's totally proven at the highest levels. The only guy that beat him was a better version of the Wlad that AJ went life and death with.

Price's two advantages are his size and strength. He really whacks hard. If he could somehow get some stamina and confidence from somewhere, he might be able to even get the upset though God knows I doubt it.

If he KD Povetkin, that's big credit as far as I'm concerned.

If he somehow beats Povetkin, they'll be putting up statues of him outside every pub in London.

I'll be cheering for Povetkin as usual, but I have a sense of irony and if Price wins I'll tip my hat to him and give him a round of applause.

There's more chance of wilder throwing punches with the style and finesse of lomachenko than Price winning.

For price to win he has to KO Povetkin in one knockdown.....

If Povetkin gets up Price will be destroyed mentally.

He's probably praying for Price to regain consciousness.
