    SRR, Duran, both Leonards

Joe Louis and Evander Holyfield deserve a mention here, too. As well as prime Tyson

How do my fellow forumites rate Charlie Burley in the completeness stakes?

    How about Gene Tunney?

    Ricardo Lopez?

I myself also think Hopkins was quite solid, he was comfortable against all sorts of guys.

Colin could bang and was as tough as nails. Too bad that his skin let him down. I used to love watching him fight.

Jose Napoles had a fair bit going for him too. His skin was probably his only weakness.

If Hopkins falls short of the most complete, it is because he didn't have game changing power. He didn't alter the course of a fight with just a punch or two. I'd like to have that ability in the fighters I see as the most complete.

I haven't seen enough of Burley and Tunney to really feel comfortable to say. As for Lopez, you could argue he wasn't much of an inside fighter, but otherwise he had the works.

I'm not sure about Ricardo Lopez tbh. Aesthetically magnificent and a lot of tools at his disposal but lacking somewhat in infighting ability for me to rate him as a great all rounder personally.

Laciar was a great little all-rounder who I neglected to mention.

Cheers for the response. Hopkins had quite a bit of sting at his 160 peak but you might be right.

John, when I saw the subject title, the first fighter that jumped out at me that could do it all was Ezzard Charles.

    He did, yes.

My thought was that he never changed the course of a fight with purely his power. Then, he never needed to either.
