Does Big Tim crush Maxie here ?

Tough match up for both men. I'll take Tim by decision but it be honest any outcome could happen here.
    Good fight

Tim, probably. Assuming he's at his best. A slob version could get starched.

That's right , a unfit spoon , whilst still capable , would be out boxed and stopped against Maxie. But this version is the spoon that came close to besting Larry Holmes.

At his best Witherspoon, and I think it's a comfortable lop sided UD.

What skilled heavyweight did Baer actually handle? Baer was technically crude es hell, he is a pain to watch. A guy with power and some chin, thats it. Fighting in clown era mixed up with light heavys.
For sure he could land a punch on prime Witherspoon, like Smith did. If we let them fight n times, is see chances below 1/8 to put him out.

If he comes to fight like he did against schmeling or carnera my money is on max, more powerful, better chin

Baer was a lazy, didn't have a good jab or use it often, and dropped many matches to lesser talents on points.

Spoon is by far the better boxer, has a very good chin, and plenty of fire power too

Baer had his moments where he was less than focused or dedicated but overall he was still better conditioned than Witherspoon (that 80 era) unless Baer totally does not train I expect him to be in better condition than Spoon & he gets the win & possible KO

    Winner Max Baer IMO

A lot might depend on what version of both turn up. The best version of both would put forward a cracking fight imo.
