I recently mentioned on a thread that I would love to see this fight as stylewise it would gel so well. Eddie Hearn has confirmed he is going to look to make it for AJ v Parker. What's peoples thoughts if this fight happens?

It’s going to be a great fight.

Cox has fought at a lower level his entire career, and when he stepped up in his last fight was knocked out.

Ryder is coming off an impressive performance against Nielsen, and will be full of confidence. He has also been in against the higher level of competition.

This is a very difficult one to call. I would make Ryder the favourite. Also you have to question how Cox will react to that first loss, often a first loss is followed by more losses. Especially so when a fighter steps up and loses like that.

They should recruit the fightposter designer of Mitchell-Katsidis for Cox-Ryder... would probably get a lot of attention from a previously uninterested group of people.

If Ryder is on point I think he will win too, though hes so inconsistent so don't know which John Ryder will turn up ! I just think size and style wise both will gel and it will make great viewing.

This would be such a mouthwatering fight. You have to fancy Ryder though, he’s been so unlucky with his defeats. He beat Fielding, Arnfield (imo) & pushed BJS all the way. BJS actually said on a IFL interview (where he’s with EH) that he classes Ryder as his hardest fight.

Cox has stepped up once, and bum rushed Groves and got caught at will. I think he clearly loves a tear up, hits hard but I think he’s technically vulnerable. He leaves it all in the ring though and for that I do like watching him.

I think if cox brings what he brought to groves he smashes Ryder.

Yeah great fight. The weird thing is off would no doubt be st SMW when in fact both guys are really MWs. I think it could be a British fight of the year contender. I would like the winner of this fight to fight Eubank if he loses to Groves as i expect, be good match up stylewise too.

He was aggressive - wouldnt say he was windmilling mate. And certainly put him on back foot. He was never going to out box gg.
