He didn't narrowly lose. He was schooled and beat up, and lost almost if not every round. He walked to Groves without a clue all fight, and when he threw it was with no intent, didn't land clean, and Groves would respond with better. This was his chance to show he's world class and he showed he's NOT.

Groves victory which was a clear as day prediction. Don't know how anyone could have picked differently, Saunders already showed what he looked like at the top. Bying into hype. The guy tries to train himself......

Did Groves bother to pay the IBO sanctioning fees?
Or will JR keep his belt?

Groves's skill and Eubanks engine would make a hell of a SMW.

Wouldn't be surprised by either Porky Medina or Victor Ortiz pulling upsets off on that card later tonight... Seems to me like a night with a lot of potential for the "underdogs" to win.

I don't know why Devon Alexander is -300 over Victor Ortiz. Ortiz has an average chin if you're a top tier puncher but that is hardly what Devon Alexander is, and he's returning from 2 years out of the ring from a heavy substance abuse issue. If anything, Ortiz is the "fresher" man.

Medina has a long history of pulling upsets and or getting the better of a prospect only to be shafted. I remember I had something like a hundred bucks on him at +700 over Jonathon Gonzalez back in 2014... that was a blatant robbery against Porky, even though one of the judges scored it fairly for Medina making it a SD. Would have been a $800 win on a $100 bet! Hate boxing some (most of) the time.

He weighed in under the SMW limit two months before the fight against a massive world champion SMW and still took rounds, he's clearly world class.

Even before that Eubank looked poor technically. He's only ever looked good against limited opposition (and occasionally decent opposition when he's turned it into a close quarters brawl so skill and technique is less important). His main asset is work rate. Speed and chin are not bad too.
