Damn I had no idea just how tiny CEJ was gonna look compared to GG in there. But in fairness I thought the commentary was the worst I have ever heard in my life and I have heard some pure shyte from commentators in the past. (merchant, jim watt etc) Groves did **** all the whole fight except wrestle and with that size advantage it was the right move lol. Chris needs to step back down in weight coz I have never been as shocked at a size difference since Cotto looked like a midget fighting Canelo.

Slightly embarrassing hearing Eubank calling out Truax. VERY embarrassing hearing Eubank asking about whether he goes through to the final due to Groves shoulder injury. I have a feeling this is going to be a very hard pill to swallow for Eubank.

What happens to the final now?

Groves is out for 3/4 months. Does Eubank step in? Then Smith/Braemer vs Eubank for no title?

    Disaster for the tournament.

That was a weird fight, groves did well to control most of the fight but credit to Eubank he did put it on groves a fair few times, Groves just won me £60 and I’ve had a few pints of 1664 so what a night, god bless fellas

Up until this week I fancied Eubank to win mainly from the point of view of him having less miles on the clock in his career but earlier this week I remembered thinking the same when Murray fought Groves but the size difference really told in that fight and I had a feeling that Groves' size could tell in this fight providing the fight started slow and stayed that way for the earlier rounds.

After the first round that is what happened and it was pretty much the same for the rest of the fight.

I was a massive fan of Eubank Snr back in the day but let's be honest Eubank Snr and Jnr look like a pair of right mugs now with two defeats, no belt, no top-tier promoter and no path.

He needs to regroup back down at middle-weight and go from there but he's burned a lot of bridges so there'll be some real challenges in front of him.

    Those cards were dodgy.

Did people really fall for the Eubank hype?

Happy for Groves, winning a decent ish fight like that in front of a crowd must be quite cathartic and a nice one for his career. Hope his arm isn't too bad.

Eubank needs to get rid of his dad and get a trainer who he listens too. Groves was world level Eubank European level simple!

Eubank cannot box at all. Wild swinging and pushing people back using your head is not boxing. This is obviously what happens when you train yourself.

Absolute joke. The only reason he lasted so long is because he's that bad it was awkward for Groves.

I used to play footy against a lad who was awful he didn't even know if he was left or right footed but because he was so unconventional he bamboozled people and made it hard for good players trying to tackle him. That fight reminded me of that.

Who the **** fell for this ****.

I dont think the Eubank hype is false per say. I think Groves boxed brilliantly, and hurt Eubank a number of times. I'd like to think Eubank fought the wrong fight but he didn't. If he'd have put it on Groves in the first half, I've no doubt he'd be flat on his back.

    Time for Groves to rise.

That ref was awful and Itv coverage was awful. I was watching an interview with Eubank sr then and it just cut off. Half 11 so obviously it just cut off. I heard thousands were having trouble getting it and having Naseem as a pundit is a joke he blatantly had a hell of a lot of money of Eubank and was nearly crying over it.
