He needs to stop commentating like he's on radio when he's on tv

 

I thought Phelps was more annoying her voice does not carry well on the PA.

Big Ron is slowly growing on me couldn't stand him at first but his comedy lines are quite funny. Does anyone know if he has any sports pedigree or is he just a journalist?

Surprised he's not on itv adds selling sofas with a white wife , every add seems to have a mixed couple..LOL..seems they think we are all ripe for brainwash. Watching TVadds is scary..why not just allow folk to make up their own minds. GordonG

Tbf Diamanté absolutely smashed it with his announcing on Saturday night. Better than Buffer who is showing signs of early dementia can't even remember a simple name.

 

He's awful

 

Give over, it was like a soap opera and WWE combined in there on Saturday night. Definitely didn't help with the ring entrances and all the smoke...About 30 minutes of nonsense went on before we actually got to see the fight. It was 10x more dramatic than Joshua vs Klitschko entrances, except these entrances were like something from a movie scene.

 

Nah I timed it, from 10pm it took 15 mins for the ring walks and the "walk into the light crap". Anthem was done at about 10:20, wasn't too bad.

I agree the whole "walk into the light" and the slow-mo entrances are OTT but it's part of the concept for WBSS that they want to make the set-up look gladiatorial. As a viewer the atmosphere seemed electric, not sure if anyone here went to see it, interested to hear what the atmosphere was like in the arena.

 

I like Diamanté but he did go on for too long on Saturday.

I'd tolerate McIntosh if he used plain language to describe fights- at the moment he sounds like a bumblebee who has swallowed a thesaurus.

 

Was late back from an amateur show so had to listen to first few rounds on talksport. Commentary so much better than Macintosh when I got home and turned TV on.

He was sat ringside and couldn’t see Groves shoulder had gone. Watched it back yesterday and the stuff they were spouting when Groves shoulder was gone was laughable.

 

forgot to add the commentators completely missed and failed to mention groves shoulder had gone during the last round

 

Shocking that they missed the knockdowns or didn't talk enough of them and and totally missed the dislocated shoulder. Clocked it straight away watching it on tv his arm was dangling ffs and didn't even raise his left arm to cover up let alone throw it.
He is funny though! a shiteside better than Adam Smith with his matchroom ball licking

Malinaggi and Ronald Mac would be interesting though!
