Braehmer Pulls out of Smith Fight!?

A shame that Smith will get an easy ride to the finals. Seen quite a bit of Holtzken in kickboxing, he will get absolutely annihilated, he's so small too it's not even funny.

Very strange choice and on paper a complete mismatch. Can only assume all the others turned it down! What about Ryder and Korobov? He must be licking his lips at the 1.5mil payday.

Holtzken is showing true warriors code potential stepping in to defend the honour of the tournament like this.

 

Surprising some proper boxer can't be found. No big deal to postpone it for a while.

 

It’s only what 3,4 days notice? Fighters need more time than that surely

 

Even if it was short-notice, for them it would still be a career high pay day if they lost I'd imagine and if they win then there a guaranteed a huge payday in the final, risk to reward is massive.

I'd of liked to see Korobov in place.

Postpone the semi for 3-4 weeks and add Calen Truax ...give him a bumper pay day and another belt will be on line...

this is becoming a very poor second to the cruisers....well it was before but now there is no point of this other Semi...if Smith is not going to have a decent opponent i would just put him straight in final

 

Even before the weekend I would fancy Smith to stop Eubanks inside 6 if they ever fought (That's if Eubank engaged in first 6 rounds as he hasn't in his two biggest fights). A non puncher average size middleweight who has terrible footwork standing in front of Callum Smith exchanging body shots lol as you know twenty Eubank would be flattened.

 

Groves-Smith final it is then providing Groves is fit. Good fight that.

 

Surely Eubank Jr can just step right in with smith?

Ironic that the dynamic cruisers gave us such tremendous violent action with nary a scratch and their final is going to plan. Apart from Groves the s/middles had a poor lineup to begin with. A pity Ramirez, DeGale and Benavidez could not have been included initially. Never mind, the cruisers have more than made it worthwhile.

 

DeGale would have had to pull out before his first fight. No doubt other two got offered to join the series but declined.

 

Calen truax has an immediate rematch clause with jaim degale

 

Now that is a strange one, because Dimitri Chudinov is far more skilled and would be able to make a competitive fight.

Holzken on the other hand is barely past novice match ups, and will be blasted away possibly early.

Did they offer it to Chudinov and he turned it down? I can only assume yes.
