Pacquiao vs Alvarado

    is anyone else not comfortable with the fact that Alvarado is the opponent. Being a guy who is in recovery myself(6years sober) I was happy to see Alvarado back doin the right thing and trying to get back to a world title but damn if styles make fights this one seems like a nightmare. I hope the beating isn’t too bad and doesn’t totally derail his future, but am I making too much out of this? Do u guys think it’s more competitive than I’m giving the fight credit for, has Pac-Man slipped enough to make this fight reasonable. Thoughts??

    Both shouldn't be anywhere near a professional fight IMO. Pac should have retired a few years ago and Alvarado before him.

    It's an absolute bum fight. Even washed Pac is going to slaughter Alvarado.

    Pacquiao is 39 years old, shot, and will be 20 pounds smaller than Alvarado. I dislike this fight, but Alvarado isn't without a decent shot at an upset.

    Not interested in this match up but hopefully it will be entertaining. I think Manny wanted Lucas but not sure what Bob is thinking?

    Ortiz is the most aggravating how many more times are they gonna put him in the main event of a card. I really thought he was finished after Collazo. Rios and Alvarado deserve chances imo Ortiz has had enough.

    This is the kind of fight that gives boxing an even worse name than it already has. It's like
    lining up the remains of the 1977 Super BOwl winner against the winner of the 1986 World series.
    Someone's going to get hurt.

    I'd prefer Mathysse or Lomo. There has to be an easy fight out there that doesn't look as bad as an Alvarado fight. Last time I saw him fight was the non event against Rios. Won't be watching Manny against Alvarado if that's what's made.

    Prayers seemed to be answered fellas Pacquiao knew that fight was garbage. What do you think of this whole Pacquiao/roach/Alvarado situation??
