Regardless, he was no slouch. Ricky Hatton stopped him with a body shot, then Floyd stopped Hatton so you can't say that because Floyd struggled with him in their first fight he is somehow less of a fighter.

I agree. Regardless, he was hardly some great fighter.

Floyd would never fight Loma at 135. He would however drag Loma up to 147, roid like hell, and then come in overweight on the scales.

At first I thought Loma but then Floyd always found a way to win. Either he would win or he would avoid. If floyd had fought Salido im sure he would have found a way to win

Castillo lost the first 6 rounds. It’s very easy to score those rounds. Castillo did not win the last 6. It’s really not that hard to score the fight but we all know things like a bloody nose or a close fight means an L for Floyd. He’s graded on a separate scale than any other boxer. As I already said earlier, you guys would not give Floyd credit if the roles were reversed. Loma has been fighting carefully matched fighters who all have some bs going on before he fights them.

It’s too early in the career to be doing that type of stuff and in the long run it will stunt his growth and Loma is even scared to fight today’s Manny Pacquiao because they know his power isn’t going to effect Manny but we hold Lomachenko to the lower bar setting. We don’t hold him to Floyd standards.

That right there already tells you who’s the truth and who is already being led down the media creation road paved by no other than Top Prank. They’ve been very good at it but every once in awhile, BoB has a blunder just like Salido and it will happen again when they’re in a position to stop matching Loma with these special cases or has to actually beat a champ for a non- vacant WBO strap.

The test of time will settle this as always. You die hardship always pacify your heroes and do not push them to challenge themselves. This always bites these guys in the end.

It happened with Manny. It’s happening with GGG. Loma will be added to that list. Loma is a great talent but he’ll never reach Floyd’s level. People can overpraise him all they want but it won’t matter.

Floyd’s connect pct was higher over a 20 year span of his career than Loma’s 10 fights lmao

Floyd went up and fought champs. Not this making guys come up weight classes and nonsense Lomachenko is already doing.

Loma can’t beat today’s Manny like I said let alone 135 PBF. GTFOH.

Gotta see how Loma takes to 135 first before I make a pick. Until then, I give Floyd the benefit of the doubt.

At 130, I gave Loma the edge primarily because he fought a wider range of styles and was more seasoned than a 130 Floyd (dominant as he was, his opposition wasn't diverse stylistically, and Loma is the polar opposite of what he feasted on). Floyd would've had zero experience facing a skilled southpaw before fighting Loma, so ultimately, I think Loma figures out Floyd before Floyd solves Loma.

I rate Floyd very highly H2H though, so I don't think it's fair to say Loma beats him at 135 until he actually fights there. Floyd had a better frame for moving up, and the higher the weight, the more that'd come in to play- not to mention you'd be getting a more experienced version of Floyd the more he moved up.

Plus he was TKO'd 4 times prior to facing Mayweather Junior. But just like witb Maidana, because he gave a close fight w/ Mayweather ONCE, he's a legend. Castillo was a tough customer, no doubt about it. And he may make the HOF, but probably not a first balloter.

Hopkins and Marquez both have NAMES on their resumes.

    Exactly WHO has Lomafako beaten?
