I saw Bilail Akkaway's fight last night against some Italian guy.

Good fight. The Italian was decent (former WBA 'regular' champ).

Akkaway is physically strong & hits hard.

On the down-side, he's quite easy to hit. The other guy hit him with the left hook all night. If he'd been a puncher, he would have caused a lot more damage than he did.

Akkaway also needs to be able to fight at a higher tempo for longer periods.

I do think though that Akkaway will improve enormously after that fight.

It was a tough, hard 10-rounder.

Good fight & a good win for Akkaway.

Training since 11 yrs old with Bradley Patullo Jack Bowen is
already 4 x National Champ and will fight in the 56 kg division.
At only 19 he is the youngest boxer from Vict going to th CMW games.

and 2016 Rio Olympic's . At 25 he has fulfilled his dream and will compete
in the 69 kg division.

Does anyone know if Widler Ortiz is being shown on Fox? I've seen on the programming live boxing is scheduled but no mention of which fights they are showing.

 

Channel 503 from 1pm. Garcia-Liipinets live too the week after.

Update on Aus Boxing
Dennis Hogan has been elevated to no 3 in WBO 154 lb rankings ahead of
his April showdown with Jim Kelly no 4. Jeff Horn fight with Crawford is set
for April 14 but there is speculation it could be pushed back to April 21.
Horn purse will be a career best at more than $ 2 m.
