UFC has somewhat salvaged the card, Cyborg will dominate Kunitskaya worse then Tonya Evinger did in INVICTA last year but am really looking forward to the Edgar v Ortega fight
Edgar v Ortega is an awesome fight, don't care about the womans fight. I expect Edgar to win but Ortega has looked class to date in the ufc.
I hope your right Ive been a long time fan of his ,against anybody but Edgar Id be more confident in my pick but he has been the spoiler so many times including his last fight against another up and comer in Yair Rodriguez
Just finished watchin the UFC222 Countdown promo video and anyone else notice during the Kunitskaya part they pretend she had beaten Evinger for the Invicta title then defending it completely ignoring what actually happened .The 1st fight with her taking the title from Evinger got ruled a no contest then Kunitskaya was beaten easily by Evinger in the rematch and she only won the vacant title against a 6-5 fighter in her last fight because Evinger joined UFC. Typical bull**** promo from the UFC trying to build up this PPV which has a total mismatch in the main with Cyborg against Kunitskaya whos on a 1 fight win streak and who will be lucky to last 2 rounds. Hopefully after this she fights Nunes if she can get past Raquel Pennington at UFC224 or Megan Anderson who hopefully can get a fight in before they fight, there is no other challegers apart from blown up Bantamweights
The ufc is hurting for new talent. All they can talk about right now is a steroid cheat that used so much it changed her vocal chords and the return of Brock lesner. Pathetic Ortega is a good guy, young, a lot of talent. If this fight is even close, expect a robbery. Another thing to take in consideration is Ortega’s freak build for this weight. Just like holloway, Mcgregor, Anderson Silva, and Jon Jones. Ortega is a freak. He was sparring with my friend effrain esquivius in the embedded. This fight is gonna come down to if edgar can take Ortega down or not, how long he can keep him down. I have a hard time seeing edgar box Ortega the whole fight and win a dec. edgar never gets credit on the feet for point fighting and his face marks up so easy.
Pumped for this Ortega v Edgar fight plus a couple other fights on this card along with the 2 big title fights in boxing with Wilder v Ortiz and Bivol v Barerra which I think may be closer fight then some think, Barerra is no scrub
Sean Omalley v Andre Soukhamthath could be 1 of the fights of the night the face offs had some heat and Omalley has alot of hype, he was the favourite but there has been a big betting swing for Soukhamthath
It's a farce for a PPV. But I think it's going to turn out to be a great card in terms of viewing. a lot of finishes and wars.
