How is that trolling?! Am I telling a lie about AJ’s amateur background? There’s absolutely no evidence at all to suggest Wilder hits harder, people who’ve sparred both said AJ is quicker and hits harder! Eric Molina who’s fought both? What about Wilder taking 9 rounds to stop him and AJ only 3? If he hits harder why is he getting taken to greater depths in the fight?
He does have a longer reach but that reach isn't really a factor when he continues to be outjabbed by far less qulity boxers than AJ. He cant be completely dismissed but I do not put the fight at 50/50 when I feel AJ is the more complete fighter by quite a distance. Wilder for me has always looked far more vulnerable than AJ has.
I think AJ wins it, but if he gets clocked by one of those straight right hands, then it might be goodbye AJ. I think that the rumors of Wilder having no punch resistance have been kind of put to rest. That might put AJ off, but I'm confident he hits harder than Ortiz. I would say it is a really close fight, just think AJ has enough to win. I am in no way saying that I think AJ is an all time great H/W because I don't.
good old triangle theory ... just cos someone KO's someone quicker doesnt mean that they hit harder. IMO Wilder is quicker on his feet has better stamina and also hits harder thats all taken from watching them both. AJ is the better boxer yes I have never disagreed with that. However Wilders chin is better than I thought it would be (I thought once Ortiz connected it would be lights out but he proved me wrong) Ortiz also has a legit strong chin (better than AJ's IMO) and Wilder had the power to take him out therefore he more than has the power to take out AJ.
Wilder has been outboxed prob in his last 3/4 fights, true ? Wilder doesnt win a fight by outboxing them otherwise he wouldnt be champion
AJ is much bigger, much stronger, much fitter, much faster and a much better boxer than anyone Wilder has faced. He also hits just as hard. In boxing, especially HW boxing, anyone can land that one punch that changes the fight, however, the chances of you landing that punch dramatically lowers as your quality of opposition goes up. AJ is way too high quality for Wilder.
Most hyped fighter not most hyped boxer. You never hear anyone say AJ is a good boxer when he clearly is.
AJ is bigger yes, he isnt fitter (at least in terms of stamina/cardio) and is a better boxer. Wilder for me is quicker on his feet, has quicker hands and hits harder. To me AJ is not more skilled than Ortiz but is better than him physically. If Wilder can land on Ortiz he can land on AJ too. People think that AJ is frickin superhuman. Again if I had any money on the fight it wold be on AJ I have him about 65/34 favourite.
When AJ goes up and puts on all the weight he has done his skills are affected. AJ is a decent boxer, the best "boxer" in HW for me is Fury. If it was a fight purely on boxing skills Fury would school AJ but I also think AJ KO's Fury. AJ is not a top boxer in terms or skills he is decent skill wise but with huge physical attributes. Wilder is a poorer boxer, isnt as strong but punches harder IMO and has the range on AJ.
thats how I see it, some people just cannot be objective though. AJ is favourite but anyone who rights Wilder off doesnt know this sport very well at all.
