    ....given recent revelations?
Shouldn't he pull the plug and concentrate on having the result of the first fight overturned ....and certainly NOT fight the foxy locks cheater again?

I think he should take a principled position here. It’s not like there aren’t other fights out there. Canelo’s been a total ***** to GGG. Now that he has leverage, he should use it.

I'm not sure he values the credit some boxingforum24 people gives him more than 50 million dollars.

Money solves all problems here unfortunately. GGG is thinking about his and his family’s retirement fund. Although he would be well within his rights to pull out, realistically it would never happen. The moneys to good

Not at all. Would probably lose credibility if he chickened out.

Exactly. Morals go out the window when money’s on the table. Easy for a fan to say, it’s not costing them

So why do other, better regulated sports, enforce drug bans at all then? Why bother?

    1) He's old and running out of time
    2) The payday is too good
    3) He's not the type, imho, to chicken out of a fight with a guy he already beat. Even if Canelo arrives glowing green and radioactive, he will probably still fight him.

    and

    4) There's simply not enough proof to get Canelo banned let alone the first result overturned.

I was going to put this. People would definitely class it as a GGG doing the duck..It would be so stupid and unbelievable financially to rock the boat.

Actually, I think he wants to punish him and this is why he won’t pull out of that fight.

    Yes he has.

He used to be faster and more fluid. Check out his early fights where he used to play with the strength of his punches for example. Three quick light taps here and there and then one hard one unexpectedly. Don't see that anymore.

I am of the opinion that GGG should get that payday for his family. He toiled in obscurity for too long and deserves the wealth that has been coming his way. There is no other fight out there that pays him 8 figures. Unless Floyd were to come out of retirement, of course. Not gonna happen nor should it.

Hagler took the high moral ground when he was robbed against srl. It didn't hurt his legacy...enhanced it if anything.

I said this a while back and you pulled me on it, I think I might of exaggerated it a bit though. He’s not fast enough to set up sneaky shots anymore, his power is’nt surprising anyone because they see it coming. His cutting off is slower, and when he does get in to position he’s more likely to come off second. I seen worry on his face with Canelo in parts, like he was having to force himself forward to compete. Watching the Lemieux fight the other day, and his speed was very good, the jab was rapid. Bird wouldn’t of been needed if that G was still about
