Exactly and that was 7 years ago when there was an outbreak. There's no way they could accept a single isolated case of tainted meat, unless they are paid off. Hmm, the chances of the latter are actually rather high lol.

    WRONG:

There was a verbal offer made by Oscar De La Hoya to Gennady Golovkin to commence negotiations back in September of 2016.

Oscar is on record offering GGG 3-4 times more than he has EVER made.

At that time GGG's biggest payday was 2 million, simple arithmetic. This offer is well documented in the press, google is your friend. SO you can stop saying I'm lying and kindly STFU about the offer not being made.

Canelo called out Golovkin in October 2015 before his fight with Cotto to a fight at 155 before Canelo had ever fought at the full MW limit. GGG refused. After his fight with Cotto he once again Called GGG out at the post fight interview to a Non-title fight at 155. GGG refused again. GGG was stuck on fighting at 160 and it was evident GGG would not own up to his claim that he would fight anyone between 154-168, ODLH decided the best approach was to let Canelo transition to MW and allow the fight to "marinate" which greatly benefited both fighters financially.

I'm not following what your beef is with this? I thought you were a hardcore fan and followed the entire Canelo-GGG "drama show".

You're either arguing with too much emotion or you don't know what your talking about.

First of all, I did NOT spend years shitting on GGGs catchweight demand. I gave him **** for his blatant hypocrisy and back tracking when his bluff was called out. I had NO problems with GGG requesting a CW of 164, I just found it hypocritical how he and his team talked down Canelo's CW request. It wasn't the CW request that I found inconsistent, it was his refusal to Own up to what he was claiming and bragging that he would fight and beat anyone between 154-168, and then backtracking when Ward and Canelo both challenged him at 168 and 155.

The hypocrisy here does not lie with me or anyone who held GGG to his words, it was with GGG and his fans who called Ward and Canelo cowards for attempting to fight GGG at weights GGG himself said he would, especially when you consider that GGG would fight as low as 154 for Little Floyd and 168 for Old Froch, or limited JCCjr.

So far the only idiocy here is your responses to me thus far, all debunked. Liam Smith was a very good business move for Canelo, it allowed him to pick up the WBO Jr.Mw title, giving him a lot more options even at 160 than not having a title, it ensured Canelo's name and appeal reached Europe and England exapsning his brand to some good boxing markets.

As far as Liam Smith being a better win than anyone of GGGs resume, it can 100% be argued true that when Canelo beat Liam Smith it was better than anyone GGG had beat up until that point. Here is my argument for that:

    1. GGG's best win up until the point was arguably David Lemieux who held the IBF paper title won againt NJikam in his previous fight.
    2. DL had zero defenses of that title when he faced GGG.
    3. DL had two loses as you very well know DL had been KTFO by MARubio, and had gotten outboxed by Joaquin Alcine.
    4. DL is also a very limited one trick pony fighter.

    In contrast Liam Smith:

    1. Was the WBO champion, also a paper title.
    2. Had THREE defenses of that title.
    3. Was undefeated
    4. Is a lot more technically skilled than DL.

Having a more popular name doesn't equate to being better skilled or a better champion.

In essence, it can 100% be argued that Liam Smith is a more accomplished fighter than David Lemieux when each fighter fought Canelo and GGG.

Oh looky, a personal attack, once again. If you think your personal attacks have any influence over me, you are 100% mistaking. How about you post a rebuttal to my responses or will you concede defeat?

Also, I know you accuse people of lying (even when they aren't) as one of your debating tactics, so please show me where you think I'm lying if you are going to use that in your rebuttal.

@LANCE99 Your cheerleader Lance can also chime in to help you if you need too.

You're giving it to me, so no, I'm not dying for it. You and your GGGoon friends are the ones trying to insult me, I simply responded to some accusations and owned that dude and you, and now you have nothing to contribute but more boring personal attacks.

Isal I know you’re a fan of Canelo but does that mean you just blindly agree with everything he does,do you actually know the facts of the case and the levels he got caught with?
I didn’t know myself but have done some poking around and he was caught with between 600-800 pics grams of the stuff so to put in perspective Contador and many others who were banned were caught with just 80.
One other point that doesn’t get mentioned is the fact that he always fights on the same dates every year and unlike GGG he doesn’t get tested year round but he may do now.

The Contador case is a complicated one and opinion was divided on whether was doping. Apparently one of the factors that made the Contador tests suspicious was that he had two tests just prior to the two positive tests, which didn't show any traces of clenbuterol. Apparently that combined with the amounts he tested positive for made it appear unlikely they were from contaminated meat.

Though Contador was originally suspended by cycle sport’s governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), pending an investigation, Contador was eventually cleared by the Spanish cycling federation (RFEC) on appeal in early 2011 and returned to racing. (He was handed a one year ban on January 26 2011 but several weeks later was cleared on February 15 2011.)

I have found an article with the following information as to what led to his clearing :

In Ovtcharov's case, he was suspended by the German Table Tennis Federation (DTTB) on 22 September 2010 (both A and B samples testing positive for clenbuterol), then he submitted a hair sample which showed no evidence of clenbuterol, and after further investigations, several weeks later, on 15 October 2010, DTTB unanimously decided to abolish the suspension.

So the Ovtcharov ruling appeared to have an influence on Contador being cleared, since it was from the same lab.

In both cases, they were cleared within weeks of being suspended and returned to competition.

Andrew, there are things that Canelo does that I don't appreciate, I've mentioned them before, and I also know what his limitations as a fighter may be.

All I can base my opinions on are what is tangible. We know he tested positive, we also know that the director of the lab stated that the findings are consistent with contaninated meat. We also know Canelo is a very clean fighter in the ring and up until these recent revelations he has been a clean fighter outside the ring.

As far as the dates he fights in, you are a little misguided.

Canelo fought Cotto in November 2015. A little over 2 years ago.

Yes, since Mayweather retired Canelo has taken over May 5th weekend (very big fight weekend in boxing and especially Latinos and America Southwest) and the same with Sept. 16th weekend as it is MX independence day.

Shadow just posted a very good post. That should answer some of your concerns.
