I don't think these needs much of an intro.. tbh I think that's inexcusable, would be interested to hear some opinions

Outrageous. You have to worry about the camp and preparation. His way over.

It's a joke he didn't have a problem making weight before when fighting in winnable fights anything for an advantage and his the one that moved up from super bantam pathetic

It does seem like they don't care about the title and just wanna get an advantage. Very sad to see.

Quigg is 3/1 to win by any method.

Hasn't had to drain himself to make weight, I might lump on.

Over to the US to fight for a world title to come that much over is unreal.

Wasted opportunity, if you can’t make weight in a opportunity like this you’re body is surely telling you to move up.

    Poor stuff.

it could yet be called off

almost 3 lb for a little guy not to shift seems like a ton of weight after a full camp

I was shocked hearing that. I've always heard he is a gym rat. He might not get another chance after this.

    Unacceptable.

Massive opportunity for him and he goes and ****s it. Sad thing is he genuinely had a chance of winning. Same with Liam Smith, he would be world champion now. Not like Paul Smith v Ward where he had no chance anyway.

There's no excuse for him to have come in too heavy, esp. for such and important fight!

It's high time opponents start pulling out of the fight when this happens. At that much over you need to question if he ever intended making weight and just wants the advantage. If it was me I'd be looking for a 90/10 purse split win or lose for this. Why risk your health against a cheat? God knows what the difference will be fight night.
