Miranda's two wins at 168 are against a guy that Carl Froch was knocking out three years ago and a guy that Peter Manfredo was beating two years ago.

Main difference between Miranda and Sartison is that Sartison is as yet unknown at world level whereas Miranda is already exposed.

Not only did Kessler not duck Miranda, he didn't avoid him either! The fight just fell through. He did miss an opportunity though; Palle is to blame.

You can only duck a mandatory! Miranda wasn't Kessler's mandatory.

You can only avoid a fighter that you have some moral responsibility to get in the ring with. For example, if Calzaghe had not fought Kessler, he would have avoided him. This is because Kessler was WBC and WBA Champ and had been calling Calzaghe out of ages, AND Calzaghe continued to call himself the man! Same goes for Mayweather and Cotto. Mayweaher avoided Cotto. Because he didn't want to avoid Cotto anymore, he retired.

Kessler didn't avoid Miranda. If Miranda wins a belt and becomes a player at the top of the division, and he continues to call Kessler out, but Kessler fights someone worse than him instead, time after time...then Kessler avoids Miranda. Until then...he doesn't. He certainly isn't ducking Miranda, because Miranda isn't Kessler's mandatory!

No, he didn't. No case can be made even for suggesting he avoided Miranda, nevermind that he ducked him!

Miranda and Kessler had both agreed terms. The only debateable issue is whether Kessler or his management actually pulled out.

Yeah...the fight fell through. That doesn't mean kessler avoided miranda. It certainly doesn't mean he ducked him. The fight fell through; it doesn't really matter whether it was Kessler or not who decided not to go through with this fight; only think that matters is that Kessler didn't avoid Miranda. he couldn't have ducked him anyway- Miranda wasn;t his mandatory.

RafaelGonzales! I'm sure you're a true fan of boxing but you have some hell of a way to show it. I haven't seen what you look like in real. I imagine a forehead thick as a bulls though. Mainly because there seem to be no way in which you can understand that Team Palle decided for the shortest possible way to a belt! That's all.

    false. that is nonsense.

kessler is going this route in order to get a belt. once he has a belt he will have bargaining power. it's always better to be a belt holder than a contender. always!

as for kessler being scared/ducking etc. nonsense. he went into joe's backyard who is undefeated for over a decade and in front of 50 thousand joe fans. and now kessler is scared of a fighter who got KTFO last year? kessler would school miranda much like he did librado andrade and like pavlik did to miranda. sure, miranda has a punchers chance to land a hail mary, but fighters at the top level dont fear things like this.

really these threads are just for sensationalism. there is no real logic behind this.

Maybe Kessler didn't want to take on sucha huge challenge after his loss the JC. Nothing wrong with that, I guess. Let him get back on his feet & then go after some bigeer names.
