Tony Bellew Vs. David Haye - The Pros Predictions

Haye's timing and speed are gone, looked like his power had gone too in the Bellew fight, remember Haye is the guy who destroyed proper heavyweights like Ruiz, Barrett and even hurt Valuev and yet he couldn't make a dent on a pudgy cruiserweight.

 

Agree if hay can box smart he will KO Bellew within 6 rounds because if you look at Bellew he’s really not that good

 

in fairness to Haye he was injured from the minute he stepped into the ring so I bet he wasn't generating his usual power on his shots - I bet a good amount of his KO's were because he was fast - like the Gurov fight the first Ruiz KD and that's gone now. He's still probably the bigger hitter of the two when fit but I bet he's carrying a niggle into the ring.

 

Force = mass x acceleration ...so yeah...if he’s slower he’s not going to hit as hard...

I’m not saying Haye can’t beat Bellew, however what I am saying which isn’t speculation and/or just an opinion, it is a biological fact that David Haye is very much irreversibly injured. He’ll be very fit compared to the man on the street and most gym buffs, but he is absolutely not fight fit.

 

100% spot on. Remember Peter Fury summed it up after Haye returned to box only months after saying doctors said his shoulder would never be right again to box. Peter Fury said he's a conman he's seeing you all coming, one minute the world's top experts are telling him he can't fight again and a few months later he's better than ever. Peter Fury summed it up perfectly.

Haye can't throw a straight right hander anymore, no doubt down to shoulder injury.

 

Very true. If he could throw a straight right hander, i’m confident he would have nailed Bellew in them first few rounds. His looping shots were easily telegraphed and slipped by Bellew.

I don’t begrudge the fella a payday but I am completely and utterly baffled how many people whom I respect, don’t seem to be acknowledging it.

Looked an amateur, match fit Haye would beat bellew, but Haye is more of a train to look good type man it seems to me, looks the part but his body flakes and can't take the strains of training camps and fights, doesn't seem to have that vital conditioning a fighting man needs all well an good having a big chest and bulgin arms but if you fall apart doing what your supposedly pro at your good for f*ck all really

Doubt hayes body will even hold up well for this tbh

 

We all hear that most boxers get injuries during camp but in Haye's case how long ago did he start camp (When you include his rehab)? What's the chances with the fact he has serious career long injuries to start with thst his body will hold together through such an extensive camp?

 

I think Haye will knock Bellew out!

 

LAst time i predicted Bellew to win by KO in 9 rounds, I am going for the same again.

 

If Haye was injured before the fight why was he wearing trainer type foot wear in the ring with no ankle support.

No one who claims he was injured before the first fight can answer that question. Perhaps you can?

If you had a pre existing ankle or achillies issue you would be wearing high up boxing boots with strapping around your ankles.

You also would not be leaping around going for a Haye maker if you had such an injury you would be boxing and moving.

The first fight was Haye’s had he just boxed and moved. We can see that in the first few rounds of the first fight.

 

It’s fairly obvious he had some Achilles issues before the fight...

He went to see an Achilles specialist in the week before, so either it was a massive coincidence (unlikely) or he had Achilles issues going in (almost certainly).

I doubt it was expected it would go completely, hence the footwear...

He had zero respect for Bellew and thought he’d hit him with a hayemaker and walk out...plus Bellew had got under his skin and he genuinely wanted to hurt him...that’s why he fought like that...as soon as he started to realise he wasn’t going to destroy him that easily he began to box...

But this discussion has been done to death...and ultimately Haye will be carrying an injury into the fight again...hopefully it doesn’t become as serious mid-fight...

What injury will he be carrying into the second fight mate?

 

I refuse to believe Haye will lose this fight. He will win and then we’ll get a third fight in December whether we like it or not.
