Wilder have already fought in the MGM Grand and earned about $1 million while AJ even with Takam earned £10million, but in general for me it doesn't matter where this fight will be, the main thing is that the fight took place. And I have a suspicion (I hope I'm wrong) that after the fight with Parker, Wilder will disappear from the media and will remain silent and wait for AJ to find a new opponent.

Some people don't understand basic finance.

Us Brits are not going to pay £20 for a fight that is on at 3 am.

The £40 million which Wlad/Joshua earnt from the European market cuts down to about £10 million max if in the US.

Biggest UK PPV in history was Mayweather-McGregor, confirmed by Sky. Hatton-May did around 1.2 million buys according to The Telegraph. May-Pac, Lewis-Tyson, Bruno-Tyson, etc. All massive UK PPV turnouts for US fights on at 3am. Stop chatting out of your arse.

    davo got to be english
i rememeber buying sky for the bruno v tyson fight £400 at the time
sky tv launched there promotion with that fight early 1989
i think sky was free for the first year or so before the £10 subsciption came in i remember there was only 8 channels
dont think i paid monthly but its a while ago

and bruno v tyson 2 was sky first ever ppv
    £10 from memory
but if you are not in living in the uk unless you study ppv uk history how would you know.

i would have absolutly no idea when first american ppv came out / in the uk big american fights like hagler v hearns before sky meant a trip to ilford odeon to watch it.

what channel was cooney v holmes shown on in usa live and was it ppv ?
that was the biggest build up to a fight i remember .

Love him as a fighter. Limited skills but makes up for it with size and heart. I'm sure he's on PEDs, but then who isn't these days. He seems like he's a bit of a c*nt/moron under all the media training, but then so were a lot of the best fighters and sportsmen in general. He's the third best HW on the planet IMO. Very close to WIlder but well behind The Gypsy King.

Hahaha... I'm very English and unfortunately old enough to have grown up with a white sky dish the size of the Hubble telescope on the front of our house.

Why does anyone have to have home team advantage?

You fools just don't get it. It's not about what did AJ make here or wilder make there. It's about what will AJ-Wilder make in the UK versus what will AJ-Wilder make in the US. AJ-Wilder is no different to any other fight in boxing history. The big money is in Vegas. Please read back through this thread if you still can't get your head around why that is.

Hearn runs boxing now so Wilder will do what he is told. The fight goes ahead in the U.K?

Hearn does not run boxing you fool.He has Joshua that is why he is relevant.Joshua leaves him or gets knocked out, that is the end of Eddie Hearn and Matchroom.

To answer your question, no it doesn't. I have repeatedly laid out the reasons why previously in this thread.

Hearn runs f*ck all. He's sh1tting his pants about BT sport and AJ losing/leaving. Plus his American Cards aren't even as relevant as a Chinese Top Rank card.

Fight will take place in vegas. 20,000 brits will fill up the T- mobile arena ($10m gate) and the fight will do around 500k PPV buys at $70 a pop equating to $35m dollars and then 1.5m UK buys equating to £30m ($40m). Just because of the higher ppv prices in the USA suggests that more money is to be made there coz regardless of the 4am start time, the brits will still watch. 90,000 in wembley is still less money then 20,000 at the T-mobile especially when u know u will get a sellout due to the brits travelling anyway.
