For anyone slamming Loma for losing to Salido... I suggest you watch this.

Loma lost....but “fair and square”? Only if you count the crux of Salido’s offense which were clearly low blows as legal. The judges of course counted them because the ref never really warned Salido of his illegal tactics to deter him from continuing. I thought Loma won by a point or two but could see those who scored it for Salido. However....no one who understands Boxing and the universal rules of engagement can say Salido was lucky he wasn’t DQ’d for all the low blows he launched in that fight. That was insane that he got away with landing that many without any warnings.

One of the worst refereeing jobs of recent memory. First time I watched this fight I counted 9 straight low blows from Salido somewhere around round 8.

Lawrence Cole is the worst referee in boxing and always has been! Salido should have lost that fight instead of winning a split decision because of all the low blows, hell, so many were down on the hips even and Cole did nothing, plus Cole gave Salido extra time to recover when he was hurt in the last round. Lomachenko did not expect a cheating fighter and a corrupt referee who wanted Salido to win the damned fight. Without all the low blows Salido would have lost clearly. Salido was also allowed to elbow, hold, headbutt and I remember him hitting behind the head and after the bell. No, Salido is not is Lomachenko's class. Salido refused to fight a rematch, he was offered big money, but refused, then he waited too long and got knocked out! Only SOB Ward and Golota could compete with Salido on low blows.............

You can, the dispute isn’t whether Salido won, its whether he used dirty tactics to get that win.

Loma lost, Salido was too wily for him. We can make all the excuses we want but that’s the facts and if his team really wanted that rematch immediately they only had to put the money up.

Doesn't matter who got the W. Win or lose Loma learned a lot fighting Salido.

He had size, experience and the ref on his side Salido, and if it went another round, there wouldn't of been a need for a rematch. Loma done very well to hold it together and not cry about the constant low blows too...Legit atg skillset, as good as anything you've ever seen, Salido is a lucky boy the rematch never happened

    False.

Salido turned down career high paydays for the rematch to fight for much less against lesser fighters. If it was money he wanted, the fight would've happened.

Who can blame him? He saw the writing on the wall in his own fight with Loma, and it was confirmed when Loma made Martinez look like a nobody when Siri knows how hard his own wars were with him.

Better to stay away and keep the bragging rights than get embarrassed like that in a rematch.

Any sane person would agree that a million dollars is worth more than a 'loss' on a record that already has 15 of them.

Lomas camp were underpaying for that fight Salido should be paid more than Loma or else there really is no point in him taking it.

I don't look at Garcia as a pressure fighter, he's more of a technical boxer. Miguel Berchelt would have been a good test against a pressure fighter.

Loma was holding instead of separating and utilizing his vastly superior footwork, handspeed, combination punching and ring command.
By grabbing from the OUTSIDE, he essentially blocked the ref from seeing the fouls due to his own FOULING.

    TOO SOON.

He simply lacked the experience and nerves early on affected his confidence.
