Secondly, Team GGG making a fuss of this is smart. Assuming the fight goes ahead, there will be much less tolerance for dodgy reffing or judging in Canelo's favour. If there is, then he'll really come off looking like the black sheep.

Thirdly, it's a good idea to make sure that VADA pays extra attention to Canelo. If he was juicing, then it's going to be damn hard to continue it when they are running probes up his crack to make sure he's squeaky clean.

Finally: it's got to be demoralising for Canelo to train while there's a cloud of suspicion over his head. At the back of his mind there's the thought that everybody thinks he's on peds. Even if he wins, he's going to be discredited by the suspicions. And if he loses ... well that's extra embarrassing because people are going to assume that he can't beat GGG even on peds. This gives Golovkin a big mental edge, the same way as Canelo's age gives him an edge over gennady.
