Wow, people really are seeing things that aren't there to make themselves feel more confident. Parker seriously did not look phased. AJ seemed like he was throwing everything at it to see if cracks appeared and it was like trying to burn a hole through a brick wall using an LED light. I don't think it matters, either - people get too carried away with looking for meaning in the staredown. When they get in the ring tomorrow the last thing on either's mind will be "Oh **** I hope I looked tough in the staredown, otherwise I might not win."
As I said, **** a face off. Buster wasn't intimidated and neither was Holy. And Wilder might close his eyes and pray, but he will knock your block off, knock your dick in or have you escorted out of the arena by paramedics lol.
that wont do. wladimir had him in far more trouble. and especially in britian, parker is gonna have to splat aj onto the canvas like a fly.
I notice the bodybuilder likes to get real close with these face offs. He try that with the bronze bomber, and he'll get jumped by the bomb squad.
staredowns mean absolutley **** all IMO just like in real life how many tossers have you seen give it all the mouth and then cry like a baby when they get smacked. they are both undefeated boxers they are not going to be phased by staredowns joshua must be wearing lofty trainers i have seen parker next to klitchko /haye and wilder and the height differential will be much less fight time
What is it with Joshua lately having to try and defend himself with accusations of china chin syndrome and more recently the snub of the NZ+Samoan press...? Seems that this fight has really worked him up. Good, it'll bring in some irresponsible risks when throwing his punches, opening him up to a lightning Parker combo.
The only thing I took from that press conference is that David Higgins is ****ing crazy, and I love it
After reading some of these threads, I headed to YouTube expecting to see something at least vaguely dramatic. I left YouTube feeling distinctly underwhelmed. Could be some of these posters are newer to the sport. I'm not saying that there isn't something inherently threatening about a 6'6", 240lb professional fighter. But Joshua staring down Parker registers not even a blip in pro boxing's annals of chilling pre-fight moments.
What's all this talk of a glass chin? Getting knocked down (and getting up to win) doesn't equal a glass chin I never get that talk when ppl spout bad chin cos a fighter has been down..
