Is AJ beating Parker a better win than Wilder beating Ortiz?

Ortiz didn't look great when he was working with matchroom.

Think he is past his best.

Parker is younger.

Does anyone here think Parker would have been taken the distance and not been able to close the show against M Scott? or gone the same amount of rounds with Allen?

Parker is IMO younger and fresher

 

Ortiz probably would beat all the guys Parker fought. If both Parker and Ortiz fought each other, I think the Cuban would win. Tonight's fight with the bodybuilder Joshua, will confirm my suspicions on how tough Parker really is. And I suspect, he isn't all that durable than what's been advertised.

ORTIZ is a way better fighter than PARKER even if he’s a dinosaur. How old is he ? 45? Wilder’s 40 fight CV otherwise is a complete ****ing joke compared to AJs 20 fight CV. These promoters are having us all on- Wilder has less than 10% chance of beating AJ he’s so technically inept. The REAL HW big fight is AJ/FURY. FURY has a **** chin but is impossible to hit. Intrigunging to see if AJ could get to him. I’m not sure. If AJ outboxed him jabbed his head off I’d be really really impressed...

 

Ortiz might have a slightly better resume. He did beat Jennings but how good is Jennings really? Konacki beat Szpilka more impressively than Jennings. Jennings only narrowly beat Mike Perez who drew with Takam, who was narrowly beat by Parker. Jennings best performance is a loss to Wlad.

Parker has wins over Fury which is better than Ortiz's win over Scott, a win over Ruiz Jr which is better than a shot Thompson or Dave Allen. Even if you do think Jennings is better than anything on Parker's resume, Parker's resume could be deeper. Ortiz's resume isn't very deep.

If Joshua does beat Parker I think it's at about a similar level to Wilder's win over Ortiz. Though it was a more significant win for Wilder as he hadn't fought anyone who was a real threat before then while Joshua has fought Wlad which will likely always be more highly regarded as a win for Joshua.

 

whats with the disrespect towards parker... multiple people saying he be ko in 4-6 rounds... there no evidence to show that will happen... it took Joshua 10 to take out takam by stoppage.. and parkers chin is as good as takams.. Parker may lose but I don't think it will be a stoppage before round 10-12 if it happens...

 

No. Ortiz is a really good southpaw fighter who was beating Wilder before the KO. Parker has looked mediocre in recent fights. Wilder's win over Ortiz is better no matter what.
