    Where does it rank?

Following on from the ongoing Johansonn v Liston thread, do you agree with Choklabs quote:-

" At his best, albeit a very short window, Ingo had great movement and probably had the best right hand in the divisions history. "

Higher than top ten seems the most popular pick for Ingos Bingo.

In history of division I voted for top 20. I’m not going to put much effort into figuring out my top 10 right now but suffice to say I don’t think Ingo falls into it, just not proven enough. Patterson and Machen are solid wins but that alone doesn’t get you into top 10 all time imo

I agree there are not enough great wins on Ingos ledger. However are there really 19 heavyweights who made more historical impact on the sport with a right hand? Are there really 19 guys who hit noticeably harder with that type of punch, 19?

So when you said Johansson had "the best right hand in the history of heavyweight boxing", you meant he had the right hand that had landed "with the most historical impact"?

Well top 20 could mean placement from anywhere from 11-20. I’m confident I could name ten. Not sure how many more after that.
He clearly has a very good right hand.
As far as a historical impact with their right hand- that’s a whole other ball of wax. Joe Louis straight right hand that annexed the title from Braddock was pretty monumental. Rahman on Lewis and vice Versus were big events.
I was initially supporting your argument as I do feel Ingo gets a little undersold for what he did accomplish, although I must admit i’m Slightly underwhelmed by him on film. However your inflation of the man with statements like the best right hand in the divisions history - to me - makes it impossible to legitimately make an argument for the man because that statement is just way over the top.

Or is it outside top 30? I voted higher as in outside the top 30.

Inside top 30, and stretching it a little. DeJohn and Liston could hit harder than Ingo

He did have surprisingly light feet and could move around. (Insert Ed Sanders joke).

Especially when Patterson proved the first fight was a fluke and splattered Johansson all over the canvas the next two fights

Here’s the truth. Chokelab is a bonafide Liston hater, and loves to troll negatively about Liston. The way he tries to get under people’s skin is to overhype Johannson (“the one guy Liston missed out on”) and he takes it to ridiculous levels and actually tries to convince people Johannson has a prayer against Liston in the ring
