I see people mention Joshua’s “hype” a lot.. what exactly do you mean hype

If by “hype” you mean when ppl say AJ beats Ali etc, yea I completely agree

But if you class ppl calling AJ #1 heavyweight as “hype” then sit back and think bout it

Current HWs are not that good, he’s best or second best of a bad batch.. that’s not hype that’s just a fact

Dude has less than 25 fights and already cleaned up the division.

One thing he can't be accused of is hype when his prepared to fight the rest and his beaten them.

Hype should be reserved for those who have fought double as many times as Joshua vs a lower level of opposition.

People mention hype because he has not looked convincing enough to persuade people he is anything other than the result of clever matchmaking. What skills has he shown that makes him worthy of the hype?

    Clever matchmaking?

Joshua doesn't decide who the other champions are.

    But what “hype”??

That’s my question. For example I’d say AJ is the #1 heavyweight, is this hype?

Regardless of how poor I think his boxing is, I say he’s #1 on facts and performance.. where’s the “hype”?

No but he or his team decide who he fights. Wilder is the man to beat.

Just remind me who Wilder has fought in his 40 fights?

That will tell you all you need to know about clever matchmaking.

So in less than half the number of fights AJ fought and beat Wlad and beat an undefeated champion in Parker yet you want to talk about clever matchmaking. C'mon

It's not really cleaning out the division when he hand a half dozen people left he could still fight and one super fight.

Terrence crwaford cleaned out a divison.

I never said Wilder was any better....but Wilder doesn't receive the ridiculous hero worship Joshua does, at least in the UK.
