Cotto is not a good man to think. He does his best when he follows instructions only. His own perception is very limited. Example, you notice he has expanded his skill set dramatically this past year? It is not because he suddenly became more intelligent, but rather because he began to listen and take heed to the advice of his training staff. So do not expect anything he says on his own to be stellar. However, expect him to do a good job of his work in the ring.
That's a stupid statement.. You say this because you don't speak Spanish, otherwise you would really know how Cotto expresses himself...he's is still learning the english language. look at what he does in the ring now how he talks.
Its almost spot on. Against Castillo and Oscar, when pressured effectively he freezes up offensively.
This is pure garbage. He didn't suddenly expand his skill set this year. Go back and watch some of his earlier fights, before saying something like that. He has always been an intelligent fighter.
you dumb **** cotto has improved his skill level because he's the one with the ability and he's the one that knows when and what to do in the ring. notice how he's changed his gameplan in the middle of rounds even from the very beginning - boxing and then attacking. that's because he's an intelligent fighter - the opposite of you as a poster.
No, Floyd does his best in the middle of the ring. Do you actually watch boxing at all? Watch him vs Sosa, vs Castillo, vs Hatton, Vs Oscar, vs Chavez. Against all these guys, he performed FAR better in the centre of the ring then with his back against the ropes. What he said in principle was actually correct, in that it is a weakness of his, as when it happens he limits his own punch output.
