Povetkin is now Joshua's mandatory. Can AJ put him away? Could Povetkin give Joshua some problems with his pressure?

Parker gave AJ problems by moving away and being elusive in bulling forward yesterday Povetkin left himself open and nearly got knocked out when AJ gets him in the same trouble he will react a lot better than Price who hardly threw a punch to try and finish this bum!

Some problems? Povetkin can get the wind out him and knock him out. Hearn is ducking him anyway, put him off till he's over 40.

    How is Povetkin a bum?

Even at 38 Povetkin will be one of the most dangerous OPPONENTS AJ has been in with.

Povetkin is technically lightyears ahead of Joshua, whether at 38 he can win is another matter.

He's got to prove his worth by fighting Whyte first....Hearn is a joker.

Wilder avoided Povetkin and Joshua is in no rush to fight him either. Povetkin looked winded yesterday I think he has a chance to beat Joshua in a shoot out but if he doesn’t get him out of there by round 6 at 38-39 he’s done for.
Joshua should be a 60-40 favorite at this point.

The Plumber from Liverpool nearly had that bum before he turned into the big stiff idiot we all know him for.

A pretty smart joker to be fair, so far only risked his cash cow vs Klitschko. Look at the rest:

    Martin - bum
    Breazeale - no threat
    Molina - bum,
    Takam - no threat.
    Parker - limited threat.

Should avoid Joshua at all costs and should go down the Manuel Charr route. Povetkin literally gets murdered in the ring by Joshua and it would be one of the most gruesome sights in sports history. And I don't think this fight lasts more than 1 round.

If Povetkin even lasts more than a round, then Joshua will be exposed as an overrated fraud.

Very tough fight for Joshua, very tough fight for anyone. Povetkin is very dangerous, a smart fighter round by round always thinking, always testing and always remembering. Not to mention brutal and devastating puncher and is a more rounded Boxer than Joshua is too.

But then Povetkin doesnt like tall guys with a decent jab. He was just another victim of Wladimirs jab in their fight and Wlad worked off it, put him down and made him look average. Even David Prices hesitant pawing jab was landing frequently and Povetkin wasnt comfortable and got out of range of it much more than he tried slipping it. Joshua has clearly had it drilled into him the importance of his jab and a reach advantage, McCracken has been banging on about it a while now and it looked much better against Parker. Would be by far his biggest asset in a fight between him and Povetkin.

Without a good jab Povetkin does Joshua. With it its a tough fight in which i would favour Joshua.

Nah seriously, I'd genuinely be worried about Povetkin's health and life in this fight. Anthony Joshua knocks Povetkin out more brutally and gruesomely than Povetkin did to Price. It'll be an utter and a horrific mismatch! It'd be like a scene from a horror movie!

Joshua shouldn't lose a single second against Povetkin or even get hit by a single punch whilst being able to land at will, until the total slaughter of the brave little Russian occurs, who doesn't know what he's getting himself into.

    I think that’s a live fight.

Povetkin puts heavy sharp punches together. He moves a bit so AJ would struggle to land his straight right like he did on Parker, I reckon P’s camp would work ok that after seeing the Parker fight. Has good experience so I believe would find it easier to get to AJ than Parker did and he’s got a solid chin...that’s a real test for AJ.
