That kinda sums up one of Prices' major issues: HE should have kicked off about that, but the man lacks the confidence or assertion needed to be a genuine prizefighter. He's too nice, too compliant...

 

Bang on the nail!! Martin was terrible, made Buster Douglas look an ATG champion...yet that's who beat to become HW champ & some feel Joshua's a king . I couldn't care less about Price either way, but he is double the fighter than that mess called Martin & throw in Breazeale & Stiverne...

 

Just to make sure I've got this right...are you saying you enjoyed seeing a man out on his feet not able to defend himself take a possible brain damaging KO ?...is that correct ?

He most certainly does have one pea head lol. For the fact of the matter in this that we should all learn from is that there are boxers such as David Price whom have tiny little heads. Punch resistance generally not good in this type structure.

Boxing is clearly about as risky a business as there is. Health, even life on the line in every fight and I've got nothing but respect for anyone who steps into the ring, but when the risk is as great as it obviously is for someone as vulnerable as Price, and when so many concussions have been suffered already (maybe a lot more in sparring) retirement has got to be the only option. The fight up until the KO was like 'Rocky', great entertainment. Just a shame the ref couldn't get in and stop it before that final left hook. I hope Bellew, family and others who care about him give the right advice.

 

Pricey brought it on Saturday, gotta hand it to him, and ended up getting knocked out as everyone knew he would. It's his life so he can what he wants with it, but given his penchant for getting KTFO his health has to be a worry in the long term.
