Cause Deontay was dropped multiple times in sparring vs. Klitschko. He knew he had no chance.

Wilder was right not to come to the UK.
The weather has been horrible here lately.
The fight wasn't worth flying across the world for.
Eddie Hearn isn't someone worth meeting just for a publicity show.
And, yeah, Dillian Whyte is a muppet.

If this is the real reason Wilder didn't come over then it's an incredibly bad look. Even if it isn't the real reason, it was a dumb move not to come over to the UK, providing he truly had his sights set on getting the Joshua fight. What exactly was Whyte going to do? Publicly accost him? Then he'd be arrested. Get in his face? Big deal. Wilder's a grown man. Stop him from getting in Joshua's face? Then Joshua ends up looking like a coward hiding behind Whyte, and further pressure builds on making the fight with Wilder.

There was literally nothing bad about the situation whatsoever. Wilder would have got free publicity, a chance to air his views live on air as part of the commentary team, and an opportunity to set up either a highly lucrative and anticipated fight with Joshua, or a highly lucrative and easy to win fight with Whyte that'd inevitably lead to a Joshua fight down the line. Everything was perfect.

Now he has to build everything from scratch from within the US (a near impossible task), or wait for another opportunity to enter the lucrative but bubble-like UK market when Joshua fights again. And for what? Because he felt he was getting disrespected? Because he felt intimidated by another fighter whom he could beat with one hand behind his back? Whatever the reason, he threw a massive opportunity away, and I hope he has a plan B that'd justify such a move, because from what I'm seeing there are no upsides to his course of action whatsoever.

I think its terrible if its true that Breazeale was hassled when out with wife and child. His family could have got hurt which would have been terrible.
Its bully tactics if true and makes you wonder if the same thing would have happened if Breazeale had of been there with a team and not his family.
Im not shocked if its true. We know Wilder was engaging with Zelanoff. Fortunately for Wilder that wasnt an official sanctioned match up as Wilder would likely have lost by DQ for attempting to hit his opponent when down.
I was a fan of Wilder. He came across as a good guy when he was in the UK to fight Harrison but things like that (if true) are not good IMO

Still you are right Serge. We do indeed stamp out that behaviour in the UK. I dont think Whyte would have accepted any of that for one second.
I recall hearing that Whyte was hard to match and with his fearless attitude and recent destuction of Brown, its not hard to imagine why so many HWs dont want to face him even for career high pay days

Wilder really plumbed the depths scrapping with a guy with serious mental health issues (Zelanoff)

I dont think a pro boxer should be involved in that sort of thing either or anyone else for that matter. It borders on bullying in my opinion and if he (Wilder) was not happy about something or being taunted he could have reported it and let the right authorities deal with the situation

Wilder is hunting grizzly bears not teddy bears. Whyte is just running interference for AJ at Hearn's request. It's not gonna work because AJ is backed against the wall and is in Wilder's cross hairs. Linger long but die you must.

Yeah doing that **** while Breazeale was with his wife and kids, especially his kids, is disgusting, if his version of events is true that is.

And anyone who thinks Charlie Z isn't mentally ill is a moron. Just ask yourself what person of sane mind would say those things he allegedly said about Donkey and his daughter and then actually show up to fight them - a 220-230lb professional HW boxer who was literally twice the size of them, 30-0 (30 KOs) or whatever his record was at the time, and who is widely regarded as one of the hardest punchers in the sport?

I was actually tempted to jump on a train to Cardiff the other day for AJ vs Parker and administer some of my own brand of UK street justice/extreme violence to Donkey and his crew if they tried to kick off with Whyte.

Donkey is clearly petrified of Whyte.

That's odd wilder has been hunting puddings and morbidly obese bears on life support machines for 40 fights, why the sudden change ?
