I agree to some degree. Spence won the first fight and shouldn't have to go to Sheffield. But money talks and the fight makes more money in the UK. 27K were in attendance for the first fight while only 12K paid to see Spence/Peterson. Spence likely made more fighting Brook taking the smaller share than he did vs Peterson taking the bigger share.

Brook is the A side in regards to money, but Spence is the A side in regards to leverage as he won the first fight, he doesn't have to fight Brook anywhere he doesn't want to. If he's willing to be paid less than he could then the fight should be in the US.

    1. No belt on the line, for a fighter who has only just picked one up
    2. He saw for the first time - face-to-face - the size of Brook when he's not weight-drained
    3. He's got a bunch of good fights to make at 147
    4. Unlikely Brook would suffer a major injury in a rematch, and Spence knows the first fight was tough and close (until the stoppage)
    5. He's got the win over Brook, a rematch would risk not only his 'O' but bragging rights over Kell, so he has way more to lose
    6. He likes to have size advantage when he boxes, at 154 he would likely not
    7. He saw in Brook's fight with Rabchanka that not only does he carry his power up with him, it looks more devastating at 154
    8. Why should he travel to the UK to fight a man he's beaten there already?

There are lot's of reasons why Spence won't take a rematch. The only reason which could persuade him is the offer on the table. There is no offer as it stands. But I do like the cut of Brook's jib... doesn't come across as a fighter damaged by two tough losses...

Brook ducked Spence for over a year when Spence was the mandatory and now he begging for a rematch. WTF. It was a good fight when it finally took place and Brook looked good but the fact remains that he lost because Spence broke his face. Spence is gonna get big money with or without a Brook fight so Brook needs to just keep it moving and prove himself at 154 before trying to get at Spence because Spence don't owe him nothing and like Spence said: " Get a title at 154 and I will come up and step on you again" LOL

It might be irrelevant to you but it's still a fact.

How did he duck his mandatory? Did the IBF call the fight and then Brook somehow avoided it but managed to keep his belt. Nope thought not.

Was it called by the IBF?

Also how is fighting GGG avoiding Spence. That makes no sense at all

Because GGG wasn't in his weight class nor was he his mandatory. Spence was.

But fighting GGG didn't get him out of his mandatory. The opportunity arouse to fight GGG for great money and if he won he would of campaigned at 160. He lost so then defended his title vs Spence. If he was avoiding Spence like you say he could of vacated and jumped to 154lbs.

Not forgetting the reason the Spence fight was so late after GGG was down to Brook's eye injury.

He was avoiding Spence even before he took that fight. Actually, I think that's the reason he took that fight because it was a win win situation. He wouldn't look bad if he lost and great if he won. Losing to Spence would have put him in the same position that he is in now, no man's land. Even though Spence was his mandatory he was making the same lame statements that a lot of his fans were making, like who has he fought and he don't bring nothing to the table. He was even negotiating a fight with Khan. Brook didn't want that work until there was no other choice and then he stepped up to the plate. The only reason he didn't go to 154 was because 154 was a meat grinder and them gents were licking their chops hoping he would come their way.

How exactly was he avoiding him? Did he turn down any offers or refuse to enter negotiations?

Which one? Refuse to negotiate or turn down a good offer?
