I am a fan of the guy but there are a lot of rose tinted glasses where he is concerned. Most of his fights have stunk the joint out, ironically he complains about fights like Joshua v Parker. I enjoyed the Wlad fight because it was more a display of mental strength in my eyes but that was pretty much the only fight of his that had my attention. He did show a lot of slick skills in that fight but his offence was far too limited to put him up there with the another all timers. I am interested to see what he does if he comes back.

He's absolutely horrible. Slow, Clumsy. He's big and he can put punches together and has power, but that's it. He beat a equally slow, clumsy klit who didn't show up to fight. One man threw punches, the other didn't. Guess who wins?

Fury was a talented boxer, but sadly he was not a complete boxer, if he had the dedication he could have been a true great, however he did/was not.
Tyson blew the Wlad myth apart and made Wlad look a bewildered fighter on that night in Düsseldorf, but that was at least till now a for one night only event.
Tyson Fury could give a boxing lesson to the majority of the present champions/contenders, but to do so he would have to be fight fit mentally and physically, and maintain that for a few fights. Could he, would he, only time will tell.

    No.

One badly gained win against a faded Klitschko does not make him an all time great. Prior to that he was going life and death with cruiserweights and people like Jon McDermott. He's not really done alot but literally stealing the lineage from Wlad somehow has people - himself included - thinking that he's on par with Ali or whatever.

    Stop. Please.

Before he went off the deep end he was probably the best personality of all time. Talent wise yes he's a good fighter and moves very well for the size of him but no I wouldn't rate him that high considering the history of the HW division

    Bunch of nonsense!

Just because you choose to hold different boxers to different standards, that doesn't mean I will. If other heavyweights are considered to be 'ancient' and not 'prime' at age 39, then I will apply this very same standard to Wladimir Klitschko to be objective. There's no reason to assume that a 39 year old Wladimir Klitschko was prime but other heavyweights weren't.

Wladimir Klitshcko may have not been in too many 'wars' with his opponents. But he has been in 'war' with his body from all the training camps he has been regularly part of, for over 2 decades. Take into consideration that we're talking about a 6 foot 6, 240+ pound man at age 39 who's body has gone through many wears and tears from all those training camps he's been doing for over 2 decades. The size of the man, makes matters worse!

Anyone who 'favored' Wladimir Klitschko to beat Tyson Fury at age 39, is an ignorant casual or delusional or both. And I can assure you that I didn't favor Wladimir Klitschko to beat Tyson Fury whatsoever. So it was anything but ' one of the greatest upsets in history'. It was one of the most predictable outcomes I could ever have predicted. There's nothing unpredictable about seeing a 39 year old, washed up heavyweight losing to a 10+ year younger heavyweight who is one of the next generation's best heavyweights. That's expected and usual!

The only thing that took Wladimir Klitschko's 'soul' was father time. Fury took absolutely nothing! Fury could barely land a glove on a shorter, older and washed up opponent. Fury was made to look like a total fool. Jumping in and failing to land any effective punches because of how poor his offensive skills are. I challenge you to find me one past fight of Fury where he missed as many or more punches than he did against Wladimir Klitschko. Or struggled to land punches as much as he did against Wladimir Klitshcko. Hint: You can't. Because no other opponent of Fury was as good defensively as a 39 year old, washed up version of Wladimir Klitschko. That goes to show how poor Fury is, if anything.

If anything, it's Wladimir Klitschko who took Tyson Fury's soul away from him. Considering how scared Fury was of giving Wladimir Klitschko a rematch by shamefully and disgracefully ducking the 39 year old, washed up version of Wladimir Klitschko. At least Leon Spinks had the guts, courage and decency to give Muhammad Ali a rematch.

Yes, 27 year old prime Tyson Fury > 39 year old granddad Wladimir Klitschko. That's for sure! No denying that.

But then by that logic, Danny Williams > 39 year old Mike Tyson. And James Toney > 39 year old Evander Holyfield. And Leon Spinks > 39 year old Muhammad Ali.

We have to apply the same standard to everybody!

Let's wait and see how Fury is doing, when he is also age 39.

Ali and Mike Tyson were teenagers when they turned pro, Klitschko was in his twenties- huge difference!
The OP asks if Fury is one of the most talented heavyweights ever and the answer is yes! How do I know this? Well, Vlad was the GOAT heavyweight because he was 6’6” tall and had had victories over such heavyweight luminaries as Calvin “the Boxing Banker” Brock and Owen “What the Heck?” Beck. Tyson Fury is 6’9” tall and naturally beat Vlad, thereby making himself the GOAT heavyweight. Regardless of what you thought about the odds, Vlad was the very clear favorite of boxing writers and gambling sites.

Let me add a couple of more points to be clear - I rank heavyweight ATGs based upon their height and statistics. I don’t care if a guy has been KTFO multiple times and has only avenged one of his multiple losses. As long as he has defended his UBC belt multiple times and was tall enough to lean over his opponents to wear them down in attrition is all that matters.
The taller the better; Mike Tyson, at a dwarfish 5’10” pales in comparison to the hulking stature of our favorite go getter, Alexander Povetkin. Vladimir Klitschko, at a staggering 6’6”, is even far better than Povetkin. But when you throw in the otherworldly, heavenly Tyson Fury at 6’9” it goes without saying that he is now the heavyweight GOAT. And Fury proved it beating Vlad. There was nothing to prove in a rematch because Tyson was taller and the second fight would’ve been the same or worse for Klitschko. As for Tyson flaming out, he was framed. He was too real for TPTB - once he mentioned a certain middle eastern tribal people know for financial shenanigans and that men sodomizing other men is wrong the next thing you know he has mysteriously tested positive for steroids, is accused of coke binging and being crazy - so back to his caravan he goes (with the soul of Vladimir Klitschko in a headlock).

Fury looked great in the Wlad fight.Made him look bad. As good a performance as it was, it was his best by a long long way.Thats one fight. He was in the shape of his life . Was sharp because he knew he had to be.
If you take that fight away, what have you got.
I think Fury will put in the time and effort in if he feels he needs to (Wlad).
    Most talented heavy ever...Well that's a no.

Not even close, when Derek Chisora is your 2nd best win then you really can't make a case for it.

Fury will be the top heavyweight if he gets into shape, but he should have stayed with Peter Fury..............
