His title fight was at 12-0 against a prison-shenk-criminal-turned muslim. Qawi. Holy lost about 12lbs in that fight. He said he prayed while fighting LOL!


Because of that he kicked the dog-snot outta every major cruiser so he moved up to HW...setting the trend.

As it happened-- everyone called Evander a blown up cruiser. It wasn't acceptable. Today we talk about cruisers moving up to the money weight HW....not even stating they're BLOWN up.

Well thank Holyfield for that. He took the verbal assault that he wasn't a real HW. My my how times change.

Seansak Muangsurun - Won the WBC Light Welterweight strap in only his 3rd fight. Lomo equaled his record but it took Seansak less than a year, only 7 months.

Veerapol Sahaprom - In his debut he won the WBC International Super Flyweight Title. 3 fights later he won the WBA Bantamweight strap. Debut to world champ in 9 months!

 

Rademacher could have gone from debut to world heavyweight champion the same night - as it was a world title fight - but Patterson gave him leather poisoning, dropping him about 6 times. He did manage to drop Patterson once though.

After only 10 pro fights he put Marvis in with Larry Holmes, who was the long time WBC champ with 44 fights. To make matters worse Joe tells Marvis that Larry is shot and won't be able to deal his speed and youth. Marvis starts out taunting Holmes and is quickly destroyed.

With 16 fights Joe decided Marvis should fight Mike Tyson, who had 24 fights and was far more active than Marvis. Joe insisted that Tyson was a complete hypejob and to take the fight to him. Marvis listened and was knocked out before he knew what hit him.
