LOL, I wouldn't say it has stopped, it just turned into more "demographic" stuff.

Not just HW's. Prime Joe Fraziers and Bob Fosters.

Don't front. Many posters were dead serious and continued their literal justification when pressed about it.

Not a third as done to death as the threads titled "GGG KO's [insert ATG fighter and/or HW]."

Problem with that statement is they forgot to mention that anyone in that range had to come to 160.

Well Golovkin has repeatedly said even as recent ad 2017 that he could make 154, and that he would fight at 154 for certain opponents and at 168 for other opponents.

Well, if Billy Conn hurt Joe Louis, and Billy weighed in at about Golovkin's fight weight, than yes, a middleweight with a good punch can hurt a heavyweight, why not. Now, it depends on the quality of a hw and another factor is that sparing differs from a fight. i'm a superwelterweight and I stunned a cruiser in sparing, but had we fought, he'd just blow me away. So I believe them when they said he hurt lightheavies and heavies in sparing, but it's no big deal actually ...

Yeah it depends largely on the individual, but if you are outsized then its going to be difficult to Find that sweet spot on the massive opponent.

It was a short left hook that hurt Povetkin and made him stagger back. It didn’t drop Povetkin and I think it stunned, rather than seriously hurt, Povetkin because he recovered quickly.

I seriously doubt that punch would have killed a Middleweight in itself.

I'm sure he can KO some HWs but top 25 (in the ring) not likely. HWs are used to getting hit by other HWs. GGG probably not used to getting hit by someone who can hit much harder than him. Sparring is not the same thing.
