Say a 1940 or so Joe Louis vs the Bert Cooper who made Holyfield fight for his life? How tough of a fight would this be for Louis?
It might look like tami mauriello fight where Cooper gets in one good one which knocks Louis off balance or down. But Louis would get up, pissed off, and completely outclass Cooper...Louis would unleash devastating combos early and Cooper would be down and out Louis KO 1 Cooper
Similar to the Holyfield fight except the Brown Bomber gets the job done sooner because of much more dynamite in his fists, probably has to get off the floor to do it.
Louis wasn't really hurt or at least he didn't look it. Plus Galento could hit.....he may have hit as hard as Cooper or thereabout
Cooper gets a few shots in. Yes he could be a live one here, he put Holyfield in trouble so he could hurt him. Chances are Cooper gets badly hurt at some point tho.
This would be a horrible fight to watch. It would be exciting for a while, but it it would end with Cooper looking like he had gone through a car windscreen or two.
This would be one of the most exciting 2 round fights in History. I could see both guys exchanging knock downs in round 1, rocking each other constantly as they unleash powerful combinations with little to no regard for defense. However, the momentum swings in round 2 as Louis' superior hand speed and technique give him a distinct edge. Louis begins to outland Cooper 3-4 punches to 1. Eventually, Louis cracks him with a crisp 5 piece combination dropping Cooper again, but this time Cooper can barely get to one knee while reaching for his mouth piece before the ref waves it off.
