Why do his fighters get paid more than US fighters?

    Brook > Spence/Thurman/Porter/Garcia/Charlo
(Even GGG got paid more v Brook than any fight except Canelo).

    Joshua > Wilder

Don't use the 'British fans are more loyal'/'More sports in America' excuses.....
Mayweather always earnt way more than Hatton despite the fact that it was this fight where that argument was developed...and the NBA/NFL, and whatever it is you play over there, still existed.

Hearn/Sauerland are bringing us huge unification fights........

The jealousy is pretty sad in all honesty.

I'm not sure THAT many knock him as a promoter specifically, but we do see him as a hypocrite and a liar who routinely fleeces a particularly uneducated fan base whilst holding a dubious partnership with a ticket touting website. I'm mostly speaking for myself there but I'm sure many would echo that semblance.

Yeah his deal with StubHub grates with me. Hearn on the one hand says he's about making the fights the public want to see and then facilitates them being fleeced for the 'privilege' of attending. Always makes me laugh when he says 40,000 tickets or so were sold in the first twenty minutes etc etc. Sold to legalised touts, he means...

The truth is that if Spence was in the U.K. he’d be selling more than Brook

i agree with all this, in one way casuals arr responsible for the re birth of British boxing, in other ways they have led to hardcore fans being fleeced for crap becuase we actually know what were getting .

In saying that we get to watch usyk vs gassiev for free, usyk vs breidis and gaasiev vs the Cuban. Amazing fights, boxing at the highest level.

We also got to watch usyk vs Joyce and lomachenko for a 10£ entry fee a few years ago.

We might get fleeced to watch crap fights but we also get complete bargains on real high quality affairs due to the ignorance of the casual

Eddie may stretch it a bit and talk a bit of BS at times (don't they all though...) but he knows what he's up to and how to earn a living he knows his job

Lmfao why do you as a fan care what these boxers are being paid? As a fan we should only judge promoters from the fights they give us, since that's the only source of enjoyment for us as spectators. Do you get aroused when Joshua makes £20m? Dear God...

Eddie Hearn is a great promoter, but he has one of the most annoying and punchable faces on the planet.

Eddie Hearn is hands down the best promoter in the world right now. Yes, he's a flash, Essex boy twat, but no other promoter in world boxing could tie the guys shoe laces at the present time.

Well Britain is the birthplace of boxing, and probably right up there with Rugby and Cricket after Soccer. Boxing is probably 9th in America.

But in any event, kudos to him for putting $$$ in his fighter's pockets.

come to think of it that's a good thread...

That just makes Hearn a better promoter though right?

    Imo Spence > Brook > Thurman/Garcia/Spence.

But the fact is, Brook earns more than all 4 of the above....that makes Hearn a great promoter.

Can’t stand him but he makes things happen. From the bottom up his fighters do very well financially and business wise

Could it just be he got lucky and AJ raised Hearns profile or was it coming all along.. never know

    Brook?

Getting higher PPV's than Thurman/Porter/Garcia before AJ was even PPV worthy.

He's an excellent promoter but comes across to most as a very annoying person.

Hearn was making moves before AJ came around. There was a reason why fighters went to Matchroom and a reason AJ went to Hearn. Some may call it lucky but strategically Hearn had a plan and it paid off big time.
