Usyk Says He'll REJECT A Gassiev Fight If It's In Russia...

    You're right on that Bruce , the Lebadev fight at 23 certainly wasn't his ceiling in terms of ability and development. He's definitely has the potential to get better with every fight and sometimes you see the best from guys in their biggest night .
    But , I don't think Usyk is afraid , he signed up after all and probably knew he'd face Gassiev in the final. There's good reason for a Ukrainian not wanting to go to Russia.
    Eddie Hearn said that Joshua would have give up a belt if forced to fight Povetkin in Russia and Joshua certainly has no fear of fighting Povetkin.
    This final should be on neutral territory. Germany , USA or Monaco are best options.

    Bellew takes the punishment from both if Hearn tells him to. He does it in a pink tutu if Hearn tells him to.

    He probably hates the government, but not the ukrainian people. Talented Liar? lol name a politician who isn't. BTW Ukraine is NOT an independent state, they are propped up by the IMF, America, and by subsidizing their resources to America. They cannot make any independent decision that is not complimentary to U.S. policy. but anyhoo, this is a boxing site lol. I hope Usyk recovers from his injury ASAP, and we have this fight anywhere.

    No he wouldn't be, but he certainly wouldn't be allowing 118/110 to Usyk in a 116/112 fight for Gassiev

    Understandable, but with rockets flying over Jeddah and that magical arabian money always in question until transferred, it's the same thing as Joshua-Wilder: fight makes most sense where the most money is, period.

    WBSS is so good all parties deserve the largest paycheck, so if Russia wants it and has the money, let's compromise: stage there but allow an independent commission the sanction the fight, say the Austrian Boxing Federation or sh!t like that. Also ship 15 officials and randomly select the 4 on fight night so there could be no influence.

    It makes sense to do in Russia so long officiating is handled by outer, independent parties. I do NOT want this fight to get cancelled or Usyk ended up being sued for brech of contract.

    All Ukrainians who are pro-European hate Putin. I hate Putin. I have nothing to say against Russian sportsmen like Gassiev or others (Povetkin, Kovalev, Lebedev etc) but I hate that KGB-FSB group headed by Putin.

    But this is the boxing site and all the politics better be discussed in lounge if someone is interested.

    As for the fight, it shall happen in GB, Germany of USA and it will be fine.

    Just saw a live video on Usyk's instagram. He is driving a car with sticks. I feel like this whole injury thing is just because the people behind the tournament don't want to split both finals and want to make them in one night. And also change the place.
