May as well of had the fight in a few weeks and suspend Canelo from then onward. GGG should just move on from this circus, but he clearly wants the payday.
Would like to know exactly how Canelo 'co-operated'? He certainly didn't plead guilty and if he admitted anything it seems to have been kept secret. Perhaps that he didn't gain a fake passport and go into exile went in his favour?
It will get made. Hbo want the ppv revenue and both camps understand its the biggest fight for both. GGG is not getting any younger and its his last very big payday
Yeah I wonder how if GBP will play extra hard in negotiations to avoid the rematch and get a possibly rusty Canelo some rounds in, and then fight next May.
He should be in jail Like GGG said, ''he's a terrible terrible man''. He risked not just Khan's life but also kirkland's life and Chavez Jr's life who he fought while not only having the weight advantage but also being roided out of his skull to the point where needle marks were visible all over his ginger body.
This whole dog and pony show was just an opportunity for the NSAC to flex their muscles and pretend they're beyond corruption.
You say Boxing isn't Corrupt !????? Mayweather gets caught with an illegal excessive saline drip in his arm in his own house breaking the NSAC own rules. Bob Bennett & the NSAC said " Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong we will not be investigating : Canelo tests positive for Clembutrol TWICE claims it came from eating tainted meat. BUT Canelo's team are BUTCHERS who are well aquainted with clembutrol Bob Bennett & the NSAC give him a 12 month ban but suspend 6 months of it because he COOPERATED Special treatment for cash cows huh While Antonio Margarito had a TWO YEAR BAN for SWEATING!! after a worthless POS blatantly lied about PLASTER BLOCKS falling from his wraps!!!!!!!!! CORRUPT COMMISSIONS tHEY ARE RUINING THE SPORT I LOVE
Good to see drug testing and hardline enforcements are alive and well in this wonderful sport. FFS. Why even bother to drug test anymore? It's a farce.
Lots of you knowledgeable lot predicted exactly this outcome and because I respect your opinions and do actually listen to what you say, I'm not surprised at the final result.
The cynicism and corruption is sickening, boxing's always been corrupt, but this is a new level. Canelo and De La Hoya are effectively running the game. Here's a fighter who when winning the middleweight title insisted his challengers came in at 155 because he wasn't "a true middleweight", even though he'd been happy to fight for and win the title, they let him get away with it. He loses to Golovkin but they give him a draw, and has been exposed twice as a drug cheat but they effectively do nothing, this isn't a ban. He's the cash cow so he can basically do and get away with what he pleases. I hope if they meet Golovkin knocks him spark out.
