If this is confirmed as Whyte vs Pulev then, as others have said - like him or hate him you have to respect the man. He ain't messing around or dodging anyone, gotta love that attitude! He's never boring to watch, either.

If Whyte fights him he will have fought a much more dangerous resume then hype job HW champ Wilder.

I just hope that Pulev doesn't somehow end up fighting wilder. Wilder can live off a win like that forever if it happens. Wilder is the master of beating slow, high guard fat men and pulev is another one of those. Wilder beats this guy in a few rounds I think.

As for Whyte, the size advantage and the setup right hands arent there for him like wilder, so I suspect it'll be closer in this matchup. I fancy whyte in a close decision. Although, those body shots are really going to hurt Pulev's fat belly, so could be a knockdown on the cards...

Can pulev just disappear off the face of the earth and breazeale get injured, just so Wilder fights a person who isn't slow, doesn't have a high guard and isn't fat for once....I know this isn't about wilder, but come on...it's a disgrace.

He should be fighting whyte in July or Joshua in August/September, not stupid breazeale/pulev who we all know for a FACT that he beats within the distance easy. I'd rather Deonkey fought Charles 'I walk this earth like a god' Martin of all people, even that would be a tougher test than Pulev and Breazeale will be...

Whyte should be fighting wilder so we can get a undisputed heavyweight champion, rather than a guy who wants the belts but doesn't get them because Deonkey decides that a MEASLY 12 million dollars isn't enough....

I’m not high on Whyte, but I’m completely sick of Pulev.

Pulev is so lazy and unambitious. He’s never going to accomplish anything. But he just hangs around anyway.

He needs to **** or get off the pot.

He needs to fight or **** off.

I hope Whyte wins just so Pulev will retire and I don’t have to think about him anymore.

If Pulev pulls out, I swear to god...

As for who will actually win... it’s actually pretty hard to predict. Both just barely got past Chisora. Maybe I’d favor Whyte just because Pulev is more likely to have declined since then.

Pulev actually beat Chisora much easier than Whyte did, I scored that fight 118-110 for Pulev. Whyte vs Chosora could have gove either way. But yes, Pulev probably has declined since Chisora fight.

Ogh yeah that referee was drunk to score it like this... It was such a one sided fight, not a split decision for sure.

Also Chisora of the Pulev << Chisora of the Whyte fight

Chisora fought Pulev as if he had no interest in the outcome. Whyte managed to make Chisora mad enough to actually give it a go.

Yes. Frankly I agree. I did see a pretty one sided affair with Pulev/Chisora despite the scorecards.

But I’m letting my annoyance with Pulev cloud that.

Although yeah, I still think it’s very likely Pulev has declined.

A Whyte loss would be amusing though.

I feel I can already hear the AJ nuthuggers calling Pulev a monster. And then AJ will beat Pulev and they’ll invariably declare AJ the greatest of all time.

    Yeh,
I agree. Pulev is actually one of those fighters I'd like to watch against the top tier names, because I think even now he's a solid test and if he's having a good night, his opponent would would need to be at their best, or get good breaks, to beat him. His jab and acculmilation of damage, is a much different proposition than Lucas Brown for someone like Whyte. He's someone that a win against would a real indicator.

But as you say, he's just messing around. Like Haye, Boytsov, Malik Scott and a few other heavyweights who have clogged up the division by just being in it but not doing much over extended periods, fighers like Pulev are actually worse IMO than someone like Wilder who at least has fought ok oppositon reasonably often even if he has been reluctant (until recently) to step up to the next level.

One thing is for certain, Wilder will never fight Whyte, he will fight winos for the rest of his career and the WBC will allow him to do such!

I am not enamoured by Whyte but Pulev has a style that suits him well. If it happens I expect Whyte to win convincingly.

Yeah. If Pulev were absolutely terrible with no potential, I wouldn’t care.

The frustrating thing about Pulev is that he could be quite good, as you say.

But he has no hunger at all.

    So all good points.
