What exactly does Pavlik bring that Calzaghe hasn't dealt with before?

The only thing Calzaghe has never dealt with before is a super-hyped opponent with a shaky chin. Unlike Lacy, Kessler, and Hopkins (who all had a solid chin, excellent defense, or both), Pavlik brings in a lack of defense and a shaky chin. So unlike those hyped fighters, Pavlik will be stopped.

This is how it's done Huki, crushing these hype trains like we did all last year.:yep

Though, it's harder without Brooklyn in the group, as everybody viewed as the impartial one and I'm the extremist.

He hits hard, but he isn't a one punch knockout artist.

Pavlic and Kessler are similar but i think Pavlic will bring a little bit more to this fight. Kessler admitted after the fight with Joe that he was dissapointed with his showing and could have done more despite impressing many with his performance.

Absolutely nothing and Calzaghe will show it in one-sided fashion when the bell rings. Just worried about how much credit Calzaghe will get after this, something tells me as much credit as he got for beating Lacy.

That's a very bold prediction, though I don't neccesarily disagree.

He brings a combination of things; ability, desire and absolute belief that he can beat Calzaghe.

I think with guys like Lacy, Kessler and even Hopkins, they were missing one or more of those things.

Lacy didn't have the ability, Kessler didn't have the belief and Hopkins didn't have the desire. Pavlik has all three.

Calzaghe has never faced anyone with the same workrate, effective aggression and power. You can look at the other intangibles all you want, but they won't help Pavlik win this fight like those three things will.

And anyone who thinks Pavlik is getting stopped by Calzaghe is a ****ing joke.

Just on another point, if Kessler and Hopkins had better workrate they would have either won more rounds or won the entire fight. They both lost because Calzaghe threw so much more than they did.

Lacy is never worth mentioning in these threads because he hasn't an ounce of talent. He's irrelevant.

I know. :rofl I haven't yet figured out why Pavlik brings ol' Scar so far out of normal cool character.

Seems to be going around quite a bit lately though.:rofl

It seems that anybody he hits with a decent shot stays hit. Ask Lockett? He lost the hard look after just being grazed by a shot in the first rd of their fight last week. I contend he hits harder with one right hand than anyone JC has faced yet. He hits much harder than Kessler IMO.
