Lomachenko would school the GREAT BLACK HOPE Davis and give him a severe whooping. Discuss.......

 

In terms of raw talent. He has faster hands and more power, comparable sense of distance and defense. Superior selection of punches, plus he is a southpaw.
I highly doubt that he will have half the career of Floyd, but Floyd greatly overachieved thanks to his opponent selection and timing, fortune from the judges, safety first style and hype building ability.
In terms of boxing ability Floyd wasn’t anything special at all, just very good. Certainly no better than Hopkins or Toney, and certainly nowhere near Roy Jones or Lomachenko.

 

What relevance does SRR have today? Boxing has evolved, Lomachenko would style all over a contemporary SRR equivalent.

 

Styles make fights, and I think a quick-fisted sharpshooter like Davis could, at the very least, do what Martinez did the first time around and bounce Orlando off the mat a couple of times before Siri staged an ultimately futile late rounds comeback. Salido's tendency to visit the mat comes back to haunt him pretty much any time he faces a guy like Davis, I think.

 

Salido stops him if its his 2nd pro fight....the version of him now beats a prime Salido though

 

Salido is done for, but I would like for Lomachenko to go ahead and knock him out to clear his record, since he was cheated in the first fight by Lawrence Cole, the biased judges in Texas. Davis vs. Salido, well..................why not, but at 135 for 140.........................Lomachenko will out box Davis at 130, 135 for 140 even.....................Void knows that...................Tank should get by Salido, but not as easy as his last mismatch..................really though, Salido knows a lot of tricks...............

A grown man here - using the terms Lomafako and Bumlovkin - complaining that these message boards are an intellectual wasteland.

 

Tank has a good shot at beating the Salido that beat Loma. Salido is a very hot and cold fighter. At the very worst, Salido gives him a tough time though, if on his game. But he can equally beat Tank too.

If we're doing the whole '2nd pro fight' thing then obviously he absolutely eats Tank up.

but it was stupid for lomos team to put him in with salido in his 2nd fight.

They would both have beat 'that' salido with more experience they have now.

Does this version beat the Salido
that "beat"***** 2 fight Loma? Possibly.
Then again this version of Loma beats that
version of Salido as well, hell I thought 2 fight
Loma was very unlucky in that fight.

I've always thought Farmer would school Davis, I'm
not as certain about that outcome as I used to be. Only
person I see with certainty right now is Loma. Davis
will never be able to beat him, Loma is otherworldly.

 

In terms of raw talent, Davis is not better than Floyd was. Davis has no more power than Floyd had at that weight, nor are his hands faster and his ring IQ is certainly behind Floyds. At this point, Floyd has no equal and that includes Lomachenko.

 

Everyones situation is different. Had Tank had 300 something amateur fights, and then seven non-amateur, pro bouts, like Lomachenko did, I think Davis would KO that fat weight drained version of Salido.
