Only heard of a few of them. Most of the best amateurs don't enter the ABA's it seems. The guy who won at super heavyweight is an Army boy from the Isle of Wight.
yeah and the WSB. But it seems to be a trend now that the GB first choice at the weight and a lot of the second choice's don't enter the ABA's
I went to the regional finals (yorkshire) the other week. A friend of mine lost on a split in the regionals to the lad who lost in the finals at 86kg. I thought my mate had done enough but 2 of the judges didnt agree with me.
I know Ben Rees who won the 81kg category he's a quality boxer but he's literally out in town all the time getting off it and he's still somehow managed to become English champ. Shows how talented he is
81kg is quite weak. Crotty was a good win for Ben but that was his final really. But props to him for winning it he did deserve it
